Perkz "outplay" vs PVB was a massive buzzkill for worlds

Been watching worlds and let me tell you the biggest buzzkill parts of worlds is when a blatantly OP champ completely ruins a game. It just takes me complete out of the hype and i'm just like wow thx Rito nice "Balanced" champ(s). I want to see the best teams/players prove they're the best players not be gifted wins because they outdrafted other teams picking blatantly busted champ(s). I think a great example of this is the G2 vs PVB game were. PVB was dominating the game with a roughly 6K gold lead +3 towers +4 Drakes. When this happens

Perkz misses his E firing it at the clone after 2 seconds instead of using it at point blank range in the opener when leblanc was caught face checking, waste his initial shroud, misses a Q hitting the clone instead and misses the second half his R. Then sits in shroud/stasis while healing for 1/3 of his life bar by spamming Q for literally 11 second in a 2 v 4.

In the meantime Jankos engages from giving 6 seconds of global blind(like are you joking not reverting this buff?) 2000 range away like a heatseeking missle doesn't properly execute his simple Nocturne combo allowing the Lebanc(Naul) to get Zhonya's off in time and buy time to exposes how completely overextended and out of position G2 are in their 2 v 1 soon to be 3 v 4 engage. Then after securing the kill he flashes into the Baron pit where he was all but guaranteed to die.

Despite massive misplays and being down a massive amount of gold while outnumber they were able to "outplay" PVB and win the fight and turn the tide of the game

Truly balanced champs

You... You DO realize that Akali would have done that even with her pre-rework shroud, right? That WAS an outplay by all means the word.

Its the "MASSIVE 6K GOLD LEAD" teams fault for not respecting the Akali and engaging when they needed to simply fall back.

No she wouldn't have her shroud won't have been back up, she couldn't have healed that much from her passive/Q. Olaf would be able to use sweeper to Q Akali and Xeyah could hit him with feathers. Old AKali would've been in shroud for a second less and had a smaller radius to avoid Olaf+Xeyah autos while spamming Q. Old Akali wouldn't have had close to enough damage if she missed her E. Old Akali wouldn't have energy to spam Q that much. Old Akali would've needed to auto to gain the health and would've only been able to do it 3 times in that whole exchange and during

There are reasons old Akali had less then a 1% pressence for 5 seasons and new Akali has nearly 70% at worlds even after getting an R nerf

No it's Riots balance fault for letting a champ monkey into an entire team and survive longer then a 6k HP Sion would while also have extremely high mobility and crazy burst damage. No question some of the blame could be put on PVB for playing it bad, but lets be honest G2 also played it bad and was extremely far behind. But the bulk of the blame deserves to be on the test, design and balance teams

You dont seem to understand how the new Akali works.

  1. Akali has much less healing than her previous iteration.
  2. Sweeper reveals the outline of invisible or camouflaged units. IM pretty sure it does on Obscured ones, too.
  3. Akali's current W is a doughnut shape, making it VERY DIFFICULT to avoid well aimed skill shots.
  4. Akali's passive deals more damage than her old one, but requires her to land an ability first.
  5. She only heals from her Q when her energy is full, and even then, its never going to be more than ~200 health even on a minion wave.

It REALLY seems like youre grasping for rage straws here dude. 90% of the healing youre whining about comes from gunblade, not akali's Q (which scales with AP). If you want to complain about bullshit, complain about Camille during that flashwolves game where she was 3 tapping towers 20 minutes in.

i haven't watched all games but in those Ive seen Akali wasn't dominating and she also lost a lot of them. Irelia on the other hand... just free-win champion seriously.

No champ is truly a "free-win champion" but Akali Irelia and many others are clearly a still Stronger when 6k gold down champs which is bad design IMO

I know it was overexaggeration. Peoples on boards do it frequently and I am not different :).

Anyway, I haven't watched this game, I only waited for P/B then I when I saw picks and I already knew they lost I skipped it. But yeah watching the highlight it seems like G2 is ahead and in control of the pace of the game when the opposite was true. But you know, this is nothing I wouldn't see in my games. Draft 5 squishy champions and you get ran over by assassins and it always looks so easy...

My only issue with this scenario is basically the PVB players just wasting time trying to hit Akali, which just delays their damage on other champs. Trying to right click to hit her while she dips in and out of her shroud is frustrating beyond belief because everything about your character feels awkward when they cancel an auto or animation 4 times in a row because the animation isn't quick enough to hit her while Akali just keeps throwing damage at you because the Shroud costs her absolutely nothing. PVB should have just left the Akali to be a wimp in her shroud.

The shroud was a mistake for this game but Riot won't change it, it's her defining feature now. They'll look at her win rates and call her balanced.

If LB didn't facecheck into an assassin or if Xayah didn't FLASH INTO MELEE RANGE of Akali in her shroud and then proceed to not ult and die, that would've been a very different fight

PVB fucking up so badly is what caused this outplay Yes Akali is broken but this clip is terrible evidence of that
