This may come out a little bit off, but... [QSS]

So, I just played an ARAM game, I got DRAAAAAAVEN, and all was well. Until I saw the enemy team. Morgana, Nami, Amumu, Ahri, Varus.

I rushed IE and SS, then QSS, obviously. But alas! QSS didn't help at all to prevent or delay the inevitable fate- I died to all the CC they had, because the moment I QSSd the Dark Binding that hit me, Bandage Toss and Aqua Prison were there to make sure I don't go anywhere. And if, by some kind of a miracle, I managed to get away, a Charm hit me, then the Sad Mummy Cursed, then the Chain of Corruption hit us, and we were all screwed.

I started wondering- how can I prevent this from happening? Don't tell to dodge the skill, because once I dodge one skill, 3 others will hit. Don't tell me to Flash away, because flash has 5 minute cooldown. Don't tell me to buy QSS and stop whining, because that didn't help at all.

So these thoughts brought me to the idea, and this is JUST AN IDEA, that maybe we can buff QSS in some way. Maybe add a CC immunity effect for several seconds after the initial usage or maybe reduce the 90 second cooldown.

Thoughts?

item 3140 is weak against multiple instances of basic ability CC, but it already hard-counters ultimates like Ashe 's Enchanted Crystal Arrow and Malzahar 's Nether Grasp. Buffing it would just devalue most kinds of CC even more, particularly as there are other tools out there that can mitigate or nullify crowd control (item 3111 / item 3172 for Tenacity, for example, item 3102 for the spell shield, or even summoner 1 for the CC removal and 3-second 65% CC reduction). There's also not that much gameplay to QSS already, so it shouldn't be your primary means of resisting crowd control.

As an ADC, that takes Heal and Flash as the Summoner Spells (Not to say why other combination is not viable), and usually takes Berserker's Greaves as the Boots choice, and doesn't build Zephyr or BV until lategame, and other than QSS\Mercurial Scimitar (Later game, again, and if I build Trinity Force Ezreal to Corki and then IE, I don't even bother upgrading it, because a build that consists of the 3 highest cost items in the game isn't practical) don't build CC immunity, how will I protect myself from the Dark Bindings or Death Sentences or "Dat Ashe xD"?

I don't know if the way I suggested above is the RIGHT way of changing QSS, I don't know if there even is a right way of doing so without screwing up other champions, but what I do know is- QSS alone isn't typically enough for me.

But that's your problem, then: you're facing a team with heavy CC, one that's hard-focusing you and locking you down, yet you don't want to build against it. It's the same as going against a magic damage-heavy team and building no magic resistance. Additionally, you're playing ARAM, a game mode that forces your entire team into one single lane and therefore concentrates all of the AoE and crowd control on both sides. On Summoner's Rift, Ashe has a hard time using her ult in high-end play, because hitting the marksman just means the enemy team can negate it at the press of a button with QSS or item 3222.

If there's a way of making QSS more powerful without hard-countering high-cost ultimates, I think it would be to turn its active into a spell shield. Spell shields can potentially negate the damage of an ability along with its associated CC/debuffs, but would also call for gameplay-rich anticipation and timing, which would allow surprise arrows or quick ults to land much more often.

Your mom is a QSS.

Of course she is. Does that help us here?

In that situation item 3111 and item 3156 would probably have been more useful than item 3140
