Well, pro players do have a tendency to play the strongest champions possible.

His kit suits the LCS he is necessarily not really that strong all by himself. I mean if you put all the strongest soloq champs in the appropriate roles they would perhaps not mesh well, because of bad team synergy, but GP has alot of utility and good scalings and a high skill ceiling with the barrel mechanic, that it makes it rewarding to play him at a profesional level. GP has only a positive winrate in high elo.

I mean they pick Lucien in the LCS and very few consider him good nowadays.

Hopefully they wont nerf him further.

Because you can negate it entirely if you open your eyes.

His passive is amazing for trading against tanks.

His barrels are nightmares for other melee's to CS with them around.

Oranges are still K, but now heal for a TON when he's low.

Global threat from top laners tends to be a big shtick.

You can't forget how hard Parley hits for a point and click.

GP's passive and E rework really pushed him into being a competitively viable champion.

Gangplank I never see lol, when i do he carries because whoever played him was really good. And when I play him I do mediocre and strike even or a few extra. Ive carried a couple when i was on my best

Gankplank does not deserve such nerf just because of lcs to be honest
