Never ever had a problem in silver, really. Everytime I am here it's just whooop, gold. Just like this season, got to silver 1 and it took 4 games to get to my promos, we'll see what happens next but I will be in gold in no time.
People usually listen to you in silver, if you play well. And that's the only thing we need to win the game. But this doesn't apply to gold and platinum where players gets usually cocky and some of them won't listen at all or will force bad calls.
I prefer to talk a lot with my team, I give advices, I make calls, I try to understand what they are trying to do, how and why, and after that I will help them.
I will give you an example. I got to my match, I talked a lot with my team, got anyone autofilled/want to switch, anyone want to pick certain champion and are afraid it will be taken from him because he is last pick etc. One of my teammates just started to flame me, because I talk too much. Someone left then. I got to champion select again and the player that flamed me was on enemy team. I told my top and jungle to camp him, because he will get tilted easily. Then we will just snowball, get objectives and win the game. I was on mid and I was counterpicked hard. I told my jungler to gank top instead of mid, so the only thing I had to do is not to die. I bought magic resist, took exhaust, pushed the lane, roamed. Enemy top lane got tilted as I said, calling "gg" after his first death, we got some easy picks on bot, got turrets, dragons and we won easily.
Why do I tell you this? Two reasons. Don't play ranks if you are annoyed by something, if you are on lose-streak or if you are in bad mood. You will lose again and again and again. And people can use it in their advantage as I did. We talked with that top-laner after the game, he was tilted before the game even started, he was also on lose-streak. I gave him some advices and we were fine.
And one of the most important things. You don't need to win your lane. You don't need to have 50 kills. This really doesn't matter. You can lose your lane, just don't die and don't give your enemy more advantages. Focus on objectives, help your team, that's what matters. You'll eventually get kills anyways, and you will also win the game.
As for trolls, yeah, we know these guys, we all have met them, we still meet them and we always will. This happens to everyone. If you are angry after the game with trolls just take a break. And also, help your teammates, because they mostly start to troll when they think that the game is over for them.
