I'm not understanding why everyone think's ADC's are broken

I don't think ADC's are broken at all right now, they deal damage they're supposed to late game, they currently have healthy and fair build paths, they don't have obnoxious kits, and they are fairly easy to blow up if they're out of position. I DO HOWEVER agree that Tristana is out of hand even after her HUUUGE damage reductions this patch... But her problem isn't her damage, its the fact that any Tristana player with half a brain can tap W before getting cc'd and render any stun/snare/heavy slow completely useless. In my opinion it isn't the ADC's that are out of hand, its the amount and diversity of enchanter (Janna /Lulu ) items that give ADC's absurd amount of survivability and allow them to play so safe that getting an ADC out of position is almost a rare sight. ADC's are a problem, but the roots are found else where

none of this is true.

they outperform all other types of carries to the point where their sustained damage matches burst spikes of mages and assassins.

their build pathes are cheap enough to power spike midgame, which is around 15 minutes now when it used to be 20 to 30 minutes. midgame where theyre still supposed to be weak and casters are supposed to power spike.

the kits of the top teir marksmen are binary and revolve around stat checking.

assassins arent able to deal with them properly anymore due to all the extra protection riot has put on their builds, how they have to work around telegraphed assassinations, and how marksmen are literally capable to blow them up before the assassins get their 2 seconds for their delayed burst to become available, because their own damage is frontloaded.

theyve become so hard to take down that half the time marksmen dont even need to orb walk anymore.

W. Any Tristana player can tap W. Her E is her explosive charge, her W is rocket jump. And trust me, it is nowhere near as easy to pull off as it looks. It's also on (I believe) a 22 second cooldown at rank 1 and is the ability you max last. So don't let her kill you, don't let her free hit whoever she put her charge on, and voila she can't reset.

If you don't think they are currently superior to any other class, then you have not seen a Draven top, or a Lucien/Jhin mid, or a Twich/Ezreal jg. The fact that they are now being used in all other roles effectively and even outclassing other champions that are meant to fulfill that role says a lot about how broken they are. In reality, I dont think is the damage alone, i think the problem comes mainly from the amount of life steal and all the shielding the offensive items now have.

It is not that "everyone" thinks AD carries are too strong right now. The boards think that, and the boards are one of the biggest circlejerks in gaming forums. If you ask the boards, AD carries have been broken continuously since the game released, and they shout down all alternative viewpoints so much that no one even bothers debating it anymore. Hell, you can see the hyperbole and bullshit on this post. The only thing that changed is that for once, AD carries actually are slightly out of line, and so the boards feel that all their screaming is vindicated.

Realistically, AD carries are slightly too strong now due to the combination of better personal defensive items as well as the large itemization buffs to defensive supports. Supports are involved in the problem, but ADCs are part of the issue as well, particularly since the change to supports was giving them items they actually wanted instead of building worthless crap like enchanters used to. Riot won't take those away, so to some degree we do need to balance around that.
