I have no idea what riot is thinking, I'm so tired of seeing Jhin and MF in every game and it looks like it's not going to change. Lethality seems to be even worse than armor pen from the all the PBE footage I've seen. I don't think the fact that you can run up to someone and one shot them with one ability and 2 autos is fair. This is coming from an ADC main by the way !
Well, Pbe games often snowball out of control and the level differences are often the main reason for deaths.
But since lethality gives more the further ahead the opponents are, adcs that can use it are gonna get extra damage when attacking the solo laners. (So they'll rush lethlity and get the fervor AD) so idk how they'll fix that.
I like Phy, but he --and most streamers, anyway-- tend to be a little hyperbolic when he's testing some new stuff. Especially on PBE, he seems to forget that he's playing against people much less good than him, most likely. Also, there may be a hint of clickbait in the title, streamers want views, after all. This kind of videos doesn't prove anything as far as balance is concerned.

Lethality is literally a straight up nerf to the early power of flat armor pen. Straight up undeniable nerf. Maybe you should look up how it works before posting about how much stronger it is lmao

I agree that they're both overwhelming rn and I expect some balance fixes on them. Also I remember Riot saying before that if duskblade become a problem on ranged champions they may make it only available to melee.
You know what I do when I see a MF?, I stun her and process to kill her with my adc. You know why? Because she is like every other damn adc on the planet. "Omg her ultimate! hurts" It's an ULTIMATE! Don't stand in the damn thing and you won't die o-o. Only reason she has any hype period was because she was played a damn support as a COUNTER. >_>
I'm hesitant to buy into all the PBE hype after playing it myself. That whole build hinges on the Dusk blade passive that deals true damage based on your lethality. The way that passive works is once you are seen by the enemy you have 4 seconds to auto attack or the passive is wasted. Phy and others have just been abusing that most people don't know this about the item and just let them run up and auto. Once people become better educated I think this build will be much less effective.
PBE has a small enough playerbase for matchmaking to never be accurate. Phylol is Diamond 5 on EUW, most of those players are silver.
Also keep in mind, lethality is not what makes this build work. Lethality is programmed to ramp up in damage so that it only does as much as the old armor pen once the enemy is level 18 (ie, lethality itself can never be better than the old armor pen).
The main point of lethality is that it doesn't have an early mid power spike for marksmen to abuse.
