I'm kind of tired of this "it's all about jungle pressure" meta

No matter if you win or go even in lane, because 90% of the times it's more a junglers skill matchup.

Oh, you're outfarming your opponent and avoiding dying despite 3 ganks in 3 mins? Too bad that your jungler has less farm and 0 kill contribution so you're forced to see all your lanes get ganked/tower dove without getting any help from your jungler.

If you're winning your lane, you either: 1) got the best jungler on 2 teams, so he's doing his job properly and you'll probably win; 2) press tab and realize you're the only winning lane and your team's objectives pressure is about 0, despite your effort on roaming and trying to help.

With new herald's introduction, this meta has got even worse. Now if your jungler is behind, enemies will probably take all objectives they can and melt your wet-paper turrets thanks to herald, which is also insanely easy to solo.

Can we do something about jungle already? Right now if you want to climb you just gotta learn how to jungle and do better than the enemy jungler.

I agree. I think junglers have way to much power

as a jungle main, i have the opposite problem i can't carry if one of my lanes (particularly bot) goes and feeds their asses off just because they don't know how to play safe

Step 1: pick an early game jungler (Lee/Elise are great).

If bot loses their lane, just leave them alone and go camp your mid for some juicy free kills or invade the enemy jungler just to take his xp/gold so he'll be behind.

Once the enemy midlaner is dead/the enemy jungler is behind, just take herald and proceed to take 2 turrets for free because with herald you can even take 3 in 30 seconds.

Enjoy your free turrets gold.

doesnt change the fact that the fed enemy lucian can end the game by himself

if you are winning your lane this means pretty much you are the best of the team.. the jungler might not even came close to your lane lul

Except that in decent elos (and sometimes high plat isn't even close to "decent") most lanes are pretty much about jungle pressure.

If you and your opponent know how to trade, it becomes kinda hard to solo kill him, especially if his jungler is always around mid and you're forced to play safe.

Instead, if your jungler tries to gank mid just to make your opponent waste a flash, your lane becomes easier and you'll probably stomp him.

Win condition: have a jungler that actually forces stuff on your lane.

Riot should address the fact that early jungle pressure has a disproportionate impact upon the game.

They should do this by having smite passively grant the champion extra xp any time they clear a jungle camp and less xp from lane minions. This way, camping a lane has a significant impact upon jungle champ leveling. If a jungler properly balances clearing the jungle with ganking, then their leveling should be the same as it is currently.

With the s7 jungle changes, jungle XP is also insanely high. You can camp a lane for a whole minute without getting behind in exp.

Man, I miss old jungle.

I disagree, the jungler should be the most powerful player because he has the potential to affect the map in the most places and ways. That said, I don't think jungle pressure is what wins or loses 90% of games. Most games, out of mine since that's all I can attest to, are won or lost off of the back of a team performance.

Since he has the potential to affect the map in most places and ways, why is it even allowed to be "the most powerful role"?

I mean, jng is supposed to help lanes in order to give them a lead, or take objectives to help the whole team (herald, or dragons). But why can good junglers do both with no trade off?

SnakDatSmilesBak1 votes

Because the player expected to be all over the map and influence just about everything should be rewarded when he does that well. Jungle is the most powerful role by virtue of its attachments. That means it's the most powerful because of what a jungler brings to the team and not the other way around.

Because that's what makes them good junglers!

I think a lot of people get the idea that a gank isn't successful if it doesn't get a kill. To be fair, a lot of laners will bitch and moan if they aren't spoonfed kills from 3 minutes onward, as well as complain if the jungler takes any kills or any CS.

I've seen junglers that don't gank because "he has flash". Really? Help me so he'll use it then, lol.

I'm not that kind of laner anyway, I'm glad if my jungler gets some farm when the wave is under my turret or when we kill someone and I need to push fast.

But it tilts me when they only come to hold and then totally ignore my lane.

Verxint1 votes

I personally don't care if they gank my lane or not, but they better be getting something done with their time.

Fisher No Chains1 votes

Well, that's the problem. If my jungler doesn't do shit for 10 whole minutes and is still behind in farm, then there's something extremely wrong.

Uhh but mid has the most carry potential. Jungler is only a smite bot past 20 minutes

Fisher No Chains1 votes

You'd be surprised to see that most junglers in my games even fail to use smite.
