@Riot Stashu: I Challenge You To A Trial By Combat
Okay Stashu. I've had about enough.
Your ''rework'' of Vladimir is nothing short of an unfair nerf (you've gutted his damage, sustain, reliability, and playability in a context where Spell Vamp is gone and you've added NOTHING in exchange). As a Vlad main, I am extremely offended because this isn't a rework... this is Deconstruction.
In light of this grave insult, I want to settle this once and for all. **You and me. 1 vs 1. Custom games. Trial by Combat. Let's go. **
You play the PBE reworked Vlad and I play Classic Spell Vamp Vlad. 1 vs 1. Since you're so convinced your rework and your numbers are fair and balanced I'm sure this won't be a problem. You can take any runes and masteries, we fight in Top lane 1 vs 1, no tricks, no AFK farming... first to take tower or first to Yield.
If you win, I'll buy every single LOL skin and you can be a company hero for bringing in money (which is a HUGE priority right?). If I win, you turn this ''rework'' around and leave Vladimir as he was. This way, the rest of us can enjoy what is left of Classic Vlad (even though Spell Vamp would still go with 6.9) without having you further butchering what's left of his sustain, damage, and reliability. Vladimir is ALREADY a champion with less than 50% win rate at all eloes who is RARELY ever played; his dedicated fans aren't interested in seeing you Nerf him out of existence under the guise of a ''rework.''
(Yes, no kidding... right now as the numbers stand, we'd rather play the OLD Vladimir WITHOUT Spell Vamp then you're supposedly re-balanced Vladimir which has supposedly taken into account the removal of Spell Vamp; that's how BADLY you've gutted his numbers)
Respond as you will or don't respond Stashu; I wouldn't be surprised either way. This is probably a great deal more responsibility than you anticipated but see... to many of us, Vladimir actually means a lot.
You have 72 hours to reply to this challenge. If you don't, I shall consider it an act of Cowardice. Yes, I am questioning your personal honour.
And just to be clear... you and me. 1 vs 1. You don't get to hire some lackey from TSM or get a PBE player to defend your rework. You, YOURSELF, on the steering wheel of your own rework against my Vladimir play. Its supposed to be a fair improvement right?
As a developer and someone who supposedly understands the game way better than us mortals, you should have no problem facing a former low Silver player 1 vs 1 using the champion that is supposed to occupy your attention right now. My only qualification is that I care deeply about the champion's future and viability.
I am sure that as the person assigned to work on Vlad, that you too... LIKE ME, have had hundreds of games of practice using him. And that like me, you are also personally invested in the champion and don't see him as just a statistic or a set of codes. After all, you intimately understand Vlad and Vlad players and what makes Vlad Vlad. ... Right? I mean OBVIOUSLY you've played lots and lots of Vladimir.
