Select default adaptive damage?
Like I know Lulu prefers starting with AP, but I'm building dagger for my first item, and I'd rather have some AD adaptive damage instead to help me farm. Similar cases for champs like Kata, Akali, etc...

Adaptive damage automatically goes to your higher stat. Meaning if you have built more AD than AP, you will get AD/physical. If you have more AP than AD, you will get AP/Magic. So you can select it through your build path by making sure you have more of the type you want.
