Heimerdinger passive concept: Gradual Shielding

Bârd··1 votes·402 views

"Techmaturgical Reinforcement" Heimerdinger passively grants himself and nearby allies a stacking shield (10 HP) every second, up to a cap. This shield persists after the ally leaves Heimerdinger, and lasts until destroyed. Champions: 100-200 health Minions: 50-100 health Structures: 200-400 health H-28G Evolution turrets: 600 health. Once a turret reaches maximum shielding, it takes 30% reduced damage from AOE spells until it is destroyed.

(undecided: To make up for this high artificial HP regen, Heimerdinger has 0 base health regen)

If they did this heim would just stand at the nexus mid game and buff minions for all lanes, making them all push out/be harder to siege. Champions would all go to heim early for a 200hp health advantage and destroy their lanes. Would be wayyyy too op.

The shielding is 10 health per second, and capped at 100 hp (at level 18, mind you) on minions. You have to follow each creep wave for 10 seconds in order to get the shielding, so standing by your nexus as they spawn won't do shit. Early, the HP advantage on champions is 100 health. Not insignificant, but just slightly more of an HP advantage than leaving a Bard shrine in another lane early game.

For a long time, Heimerdingers current passive granted bonus HP5 to structures. If you stood AFK at your bottom tower for 3 minutes to give it that HP boost, congratulations, you likely just lost your team the game. Standing in your base to give creeps more health is even more asinine.

His current passive concept is fine. It just needs to scale with items that give him regen and he needs to be able to heal towers with a cooldown ability like azir's passive. Addind some mana regen to his passive will also be sweet.
