Why are Green Wards Gone? Can we have them back?

Just played a solo queue game, i got camped by the enemy jungler harder than i've ever been camped in this game before. I was ganked 7+ times before minute 9 of the game, but I just didnt have the tools to avoid this. I bought my 1 pink ward, asked my jungler to buy one too, and he did, but they would get instantly cleared, and my trinket didnt last long enough. As a mid laner, buying sightstone would hardly be practical, so how are we supposed to avoid this?? I could tell I was getting ganked by my laner's positioning and movement but it still is hardly enough time to react especially with a jungler like Zac who can launch a mile to gank you. I don't quite understand the removal of the green wards.
