The Direction of The Game: Removing Positioning?

It seems to me that as new champions are released, positioning is becoming less and less of a skill required for the game. If you mess up, champions like Tahm Kench can just remove you from danger, kalista can pull her support away, ekko can basically kill himself and go back out of danger, bard can save his team, and the new champion, kindred has a similar save feature.

I believe if you have bad positioning and get yourself caught out, you should be punished so you learn how to properly path or position yourself in the game. Champions like these remove that necessity for game knowledge and deters people from learning where they should be at in fights and how they should path when their jungle isnt warded.

Ehh, Kindred's mechanic doesn't save them from positioning at all once you think about it.

They'd only be invincible within their ult, and if they'd screwed up their positioning, there's likely an Assassin or Bruiser sitting on top of them, ergo within the ultimate. They benefit just as much as Kindred would, and because they likely have more burst than Kindred, Kindred is basically immediately screwed once the ult fades.

Bard is similar in this regard, and was/is infamous for screwing over teammates just as hard.
