Is it the player or the champion that sucks..

Look, I'll be the first person to say I'm not going to be in the championship spotlight anytime soon. (maybe two years). But I've had countless people, and I REPEAT Countless times people say don't pick a champ because he/she isn't great. Lets talk about Jhin for example. With the exceptions of possibly crits and his E, he doesn't have escapes. However when <Teemo> Teammates like this say he is a bad champ and you go 10/0 with him. How the hell is that the champs fault? Like I said, I'm not the best Jhin player on the planet, first couple games I sucked with him, however I came to an understand about his strengths and weaknesses and found to <Teemo> anyone off in a teamfight.

He's quirky so players are still getting used to him. I've played with good jhins and bad jhins and my conclusion for what its worth is that the reward you get for being very good at him isn't as much as most other adcs. He needs way too much protection and coordination to play him in solo queue, and the mastery required to play him at a decent level is too high compared to others, and the reward is too low. I don't dodge every time I see him, but I don't like him on my teams.

I understand that to a degree but I see him more of a Sin ADC if anything.

Take for example, lets say we got a Malphite and Yasuo on the team, throw w/e jungle or support you want in the mix. The start of the battle Malphite goes in and ult followed by a Yasuo ult. By the team they hit the ground we see a good junk of their hp deleted. With his E on the ground you wouldn't have to worry about a sneak attack too much on him as long as you have good placement. (like a teemo and shrooms) While they still fighting, deploy an ult if you see someone low or start shooting from a distance. In my mind that takes coordination but at even mid level tiers people should ALREADY know who should go in and who should stay in the back lines.

Any flanking champions or assassins are instant death to him though. He has no real peel since his traps don't slow for shit. The fact that you need to tailor a scenario of their whole team got wombo'd by malph/yasuo demonstrates the fact that, in general, jhin isn't that great. Just like teemo, it's not really that the champion is too bad to play, it's that there are much better picks to get the same thing done. Jinx has better traps, better kiting, a better ult imo, and gains speed to get out or go harder on kill participation. She requires peel for early in the fight but after she gets the movespeed bonus she can take off on her own. Jhin pretty much always needs to be baby sat and anything goes wrong he's dead.
