Players vs Camille

There comes a time in League of Legends where people have to learn other champions. But for some reason when a new champion comes out people tend to lose all braincells and believe if they just keep using the same champions over and over they will win. Personally, I like going against Camille because she really is teaching me a few things.

  1. Not to over extend at level 6 cause it's a gank wet dream
  2. Time my attacks when she uses her Q.
  3. Play a champion that counters her dash stun combo. Such as..Poppy

Now most people would say she is over power however after viewing those players one thing I've noticed off the bat is they REFUSE to play any other champion that COULD go toe to toe with her.

It's like when you see a JAX at top lane, sure you can go as any top laner to fight against him, but what champion that comes to mind that could eat his attack speed and damage him and also soak his damage...? Malphite . I mean I'm going to play something that can counter, Every-single- champion has a counter or at least a champion that can even the playing field. The issue is everyone has this LCS logic in mind that if the "pros don't play it why shouldn't I?"

Hell everytime I see a Rengar on the other team, I play Teemo and play the ward Shroom game to help my teammates. When I see a yasuo I'm going renekton or urgot simply cause I can take away his damage and keep in lane on him.

All about playing smarter and not harder....back in around 1-3 I felt people actually PLAYED roles that helped the team. Now it's all about "Who could I use to get the most kills in" like this is an FPS...

So much this post. I see people losing their minds over stupid things that aren't even remotely problematic without actually gearing up properly.

  • Bitch about Teemo - why are you not building MR?
  • Bitch about Mundo - why are you not building Executioner's Calling?
  • Bitch about Camille - why are you an immobile squishy champ with no CC?

Seriously though, no one ever builds or picks to counter. They use cookie cutter builds and then lose their minds when the opponent dominates them. Adapt to your games people, that is how you win.

Camille counters to date that I've bumped into - Poppy, Teemo, Fiora, getting camped. Camille crumbles in fights against more than one character.

Oh boy, it's almost like people have to play differently against different champions. ... ... Naah, that takes intelligence. And I have none because I'm an idiot who loves to cry and bitch and QQ about champions being "OP" when it's just me not knowing how to play against them. Nerf please!!!!

:^)

Tahm is a very good Camille counter. If she ults you, eat her then spit her out of her ult. If she tries to trade without it you'll still have the advantage over her.

It's not because a champ is LCS or meta. There's a reason why, when you go against a counterlane, you don't just blind pick the counter to their counter. Pick only things you're good at, and some people are only good at X and X. If the only way to deal with a champ is to pick their counter champ, that champion is toxic and needs a rework. There needs to be ingame counterplay, not something extreme pre-game.

I.e. to counter Camille, you change masteries(Also shouldn't be a legitimate counter for the same reason as runes or counterpicking, but, besides keystone, they don't have THAT much of an impact), itemization, warding, roaming, freezing, tower hugging, etc.

Counterplay isn't "just dodge" or "pick the hardest counter to Darius "

Just pick poppy. She can lane against anyone and outscored every tank/top in the game.

All top lane bullies and meta top laners can easily beat Cam.

The people struggling are likely the top laners that can only win with selfish troll picks.

But for some reason when a new champion comes out people tend to lose all braincells and believe if they just keep using the same champions THE SAME EXACT WAY over and over they will win.

Well, you have to play new champion multiple times vs multiple enemies to get the sense of what is that champion capable, how much dmg it has etc... there is no other way than training. And especialy in normals, people dont always want to aim to win, but they could aim to improve. If I wanted to have the biggest chance to win my every game, I could never try new champion, because I know my inexperience with him is a huge dissadvantage.

Just played against a Camille who built nearly full tank. I don't know what ability it is, but it's on a 6-second cooldown and was doing 850+ true damage. With her high mobility, I don't really see the counterplay to just losing minimum 1/4th of your hp with a non-ultimate ability.
