Just had the pleasure of playing with an Inting Sion
We won the game because he kept inting into towers while we took objectives. He ended the game by inting into the nexus. Lmao, it feels dirty. Working as INTended?

It is a dumb strategy that is niche.
It is also entirely reliant on your teammates actually doing something with the pressure.
Really it's just super advanced split pushing, but the problem with split pushing in solo Q - ESPECIALLY IN LOWER TIERS - is the team has to be able to play around it, or you have to be uber fed to the point that strategy is thrown out the window because you are unkillable.
Literally had a game yesterday where our Jax got 6 early kills then wanted to group mid vs a team with Veigar.
He was completely useless because he could never engage. I tried to get him to split push but he was dead set on 5v5s.
Stuff like that, not recognising team composition win conditions, being dead set on 5v5 as the only way to win a game (huge problems in low elo), on top of the fact that the "strat" means sions team will almost always be in a group of 4 at the most, it limits the plays that can be made.
This all leaves inting sion in a weird place
Am I the only one glad people are getting banned for this? From a team-mates perspective, it's the most toxic experience in the world to play with.
I'll keep reporting, especially with people getting banned for it. I really hope someone gets fucked out of season rewards for this toxic strategy.
In the odd case, the enemy team is competent and knows how to prevent it before you can zerg them down, you legit end the game 0-20, with 0 contributions to any team fights.
It's good when it works, but when it fails - it's 100% initing on paper. Ignoring the entire game for a strategy that's not guaranteed to work really just holds the game hostage.

Most assassins are like that - they either get fed or int. Since their combo generally involves them dashing or blinking on the target, it makes them look like trolls when they go in and die right away when they're behind.

Assassins actually intend to help the team though between those kills. Every Int Sion I've ever seen has completely ignored every team fight, completely fed the top lane in the process, and refuses ever to leave the lane for Dragon.
The amount of times I've heard "I'm int Sion, I don't leave lane" is insane.
-Refusing to communicate? Check -Refusing to work with the team? Check -intentionally feeding? Check -Assisting enemy team? Check
...and it's a wonder why the report system keeps flagging them on multiple offenses. I'll keep getting them banned though :).
Brightside gold changes are incoming next season to make this strategy useless. I'm going to be so happy when people still have gold value even when having no kills.

That isnt necessarily wrong though you only leave lane when you absolutely need to

Wait till you have three Infernals spawn in one game, and tell me Dragon control isn't important.

thats why you pressure top to make the enemies come to you to stop your push and when they do your team takes drag for free

Chances Sion blew his teleport to suicide - pretty high.
All it takes is sending your fed top laner to stop his push and teleport back in for Dragon. Any competent teams not going to send everyone to a single lane to stop a single person.
He sets up 4 vs 5 situations all game.

i guarantee that if you only have 1 person try to stop a sion with only a titanic its going to take 5ever and they wont have the health to tp straight down to drag

So? I've heard literally the same thing from Nasus mains since 2010. Can't help dragon too busy getting mad stakz. Same with exh support singed a while back too. You can still make the argument that they are playing to win, even if their strategies are abusing mechanics and pissing off their teammates to do so.
Fix the mechanics, don't ban the player.

They are fixing the mechanics, but sadly worlds are going on right now - so we have to wait until Pre-season for a fix. There is already a plan for Sion in the works with gold value changes.
Let's use support singed for an example. Where a player had full intention to win games, but he was banned based off "refusing to communicate with team" and "refusing to work with team." It caused such a toxic environment for everyone he qued with that it was put to a stop. That player had full intention to win.
I understand you want to play Singed Support, however, your teammates do not want you to play Singed Support"
Basically, if you set up a situation where you hold the game hostage and refuse to do anything but your own strategy, especially when it involves ignoring four other players - there are grounds for removal.
Riot's only putting up with this strategy temporary because a fix is too far away. End of the day though it still breaks all current rules in place, and falls in line with past offenses.
Why are people getting banned?...because the report system was designed to prevent the majority of what this strategy promotes. If you have to break multiple rules to play - yah the systems going to pick yah up.

By that same logic, how about a one trick player? Maybe others on a team -really- don't like the champ you want to play and you were autofilled in an off-meta role (shaco teemo yasuo etc)? Is that grounds for removal, even though you're giving your team the best chance at winning by playing your best char, albeit in an offbeat position?
It's alright to pick an off meta champion and it's alright to play a position weird.
What's not ok is completely ignoring the rest of the game for your own vision of what the game should be.
If I play jungle, and AFK farm all game without even entering lane once - am I playing my position right? am I being a positive experience for the rest of my team? Even if somewhere you do intend to win down the line, you're still holding the game hostage and causing a negative experience for someone else.
If your goal is to completely ignore everyone else, just play a single player game.
My entire point is Sion provides a negative experience to most team-mates when he does this. He has to break multiple rules to accomplish this goal, and that's toxic for the game health. Off meta champs are not even close to what he does.
or, you know, maybe the ones you've played with are not very good at the strategy?
a high level player came up with it and it requires a lot of attention to detail and sacrifices typical build efficiency to go for objectives
I actually did something similar with jungling sion once, but that was back when jungle items boosted HP I think. anyway, I'd run after an opponent with 2000 hp at level 6, y es, 2000. I'd have a crap build, but their damage could not keep up with my hp and TWO HP BARS. At that time, when I actually did it, I could force any lane out of their lane if I timed it right
that strategy, however, did not require explicit use of Sion's passive

Most assassins are like that - they either get fed or int.
They get fed or die. Inting is when you're giving kills to the enemy with the intent to harm your team.

Then technically you can't call this Sion strat "inting" Sion anymore. He may be feeding them kills, but it is at the cost fattening up a shutdown bounty without actually feeding that much gold, on top of generating pressure on the map. It does not have the intent of harming the team, although it may be a side effect when a clueless Sion feeds a Jax instead of a harmless Maokai.
Actually no, Assassins who are behind and stupidly jump into the bacline to snag a kill when theyre several levels below the enemy is still inting and reportable just as much as inting sion. A good assassing would realise that he's behind, farm it up, and clean up teamfights instead of starting them and get killed.
its super fun to play but rn alot of people got 2week bans from it and we are just waiting for the unbans lmfao
Riot said in a post they wont be banning people for playing int Sion, and that if you do get banned for playing Int Sion you just need to talk to Riot support and they will help you get unbanned

Easier said than done lmfao I got banned at 4am and I'm still banned
Sometimes Riot support has live text chat available. If that is available for you that would be the fastest way. Sorry about you getting banned over using this strategy, hope you get unbanned soon

I looked for the live chat but couldn't find it sadly
Probably because it's a weekend. Try again tomorrow.
LOL I got banned for doing something similar, direct words from 'Peacemaker', "too many deaths"

I tried it. Stopped half way through because I literally got too bored of waiting to respawn. If you can pull that shit off for multiple games no offense but you are lifeless
Maybe they are an Undead Juggernaut?
Yeah, and it's also mentally challenging to do. If you've played long enough, you know that your team wants to fight and that they're likely are going to lose fights without you, and as they do, it takes some will power to keep at it and not go help.
Maybe they used to be Anivia mains?
I bumped into one as well. I don't think he knew exactly how the strategy worked, as he only took down one tower the entire game...... despite having 15+ deaths...... He also never built titanic. So does what he was doing even count as inting Sion?
I don't like playing against it since it's hard to coordinate mapwide plays in solo queue with limited communication. Even I have failed to see his pushes and have lost a game to him pushing in and getting a ziggs to tp with him for massive objective damage.
It's a good strat but I ban that shit.
DO NOT PLAY THIS INTO A FIORA OR RIVEN. THAT IS ALL.
My issue with it is people don't know how to play it. If you win lane as sion, you do the same thing but without dying. it's meant to be something you swap into when your losing not something you do at the start of the game.
Lost promos because of said fked up strategy that riot still haven't done anything about. Reported him for inting/feeding because this really should be punishable imo.
I have only seen it once. It ended in our top Jax getting fed and just destroying everything. In my case, the inting Sion only managed to do the inting part.
As with all gimmick strats it depends heavily on people not really understanding how to deal with it rather then being universally strong. Like no ADC bot. Or classic singed proxy.
