IBG changes on PBE

Riot: Rather than nerf IBG for all champs except Ezreal, can you perhaps consider changing the current strategy on its usage to the following: Split the passive. - Spellblade (unique passive) - leave it at 125% base AD, remove the icy zone component. - Icy zone (unique passive, melee only) - on spell cast, slow for 2 sec's blah blah blah.

This still allows champs to utilise IBG as an armour, mana, cdr item with a spellblade passive. It removes the less than desirable 'Blue Ez' build from wrecking every champ he goes against by having the Icy Zone passive melee only so those champs who have to work to get in range can use it while those that are ranged cannot use it.

You could rename the Icy Zone passive to the same name as FroMal's so its one or the other, not both.

Problem solved.

The real problem is that it basically gives the exact same stats as Frozen Heart, except it is an all around better 20% CDR item than Frozen Heart, making Frozen Heart obsolete.

I don't even build Frozen Heart on Warwick anymore, I build IBG rofl. If you made Frozen Heart a better tank item, people would start building it again and you'd see less IBGs in the game.

When is riot going to start worry about the problem champs, like graves 120 in free d stats as a range BURST champ.

What do you think about the current Nasus state ?

I play him a lot and i consider IBG as core item, i loved couple it with sterak before his nerf When i look Nasus winrate it seems a bit high Do you think this nerf Will tune him well or Will be too harsh? More generaly how you would like see him built ?

How about you nerf the base AD of problematic users of it. You could always make it a juggernaut item by buffing the base AD of champions considered 'juggernauts' and lowering everyone else's in the game if they ever seem problematic with spellblade procs, especially Ezreal.

What about this?

Remove/reduce the armor scaling on the slow
Put a minimum amount of armor for the effect to take place (dunno, 90?)

If that's still too harsh, we can instead have a damage reduction scaling.

I'm pretty sure they're nerfing it due to its strength and popularity on top laners. Many of them are just building Sunfire Cape and Iceborn Gauntlet.

For once, it's probably not due to Ezreal.

Maybe its because AD is so insanely strong, but there are pretty much no good armor/damage items.

Of course people are going to rush Sunfire and IBG on top laners when they're the only things that scale damage and armor.

Also, pretty much every other armor item has had the shit nerfed out of it, Zhonya's included.

Hmm...I wonder if there's a reason people are buying the only two armor items that haven't been nerfed to hell and back....

Btw, none of this animosity is targeted towards you. Just the blatant disregard for causation Riot has.

They're not nerfing it because of Ezreal.

They're nerfing it because melee champions are spamming it top lane because it's overpowered.

Ezreal? Fuck Ezreal. Try Nautilus, Ekko, and Poppy.

I think it'd be cool if intead of the base ad spellblade damage nerf, the cooldown was nerfed to 15% Never understood why Riot wanted to remove the 5 and 15 % cdr items.
