An ode to old runes.

REALLY exited for the new runes and all, but I wanted to take a look back at all the amazing pages that I will truly miss.

Goodbye full 20% crit chance runes. I loved to take you on and start brawlers glove for 30% crit at level 1. I would also use you on to have 55% crit with max fury, leaving me with enough crit chance to build an extra non crit damage item and still have around 100% crit by the end.

Goodbye full flat attack speed rune page. I would use you on and in top lane for quick and easy passive procs. I also took you on on hit once during urf with the season 6 version of and it was a blast.

Goodbye full flat ad rune page. You made me a little more mana hungry early, but I would start along with those runes for an extra 29-ish AD at level 1, it made for quite the awesome lane bully, and unlike the previous ones mentioned this one wasn't that champ specific.

Goodbye experience gained quints. You allowed me to get level 2 from a single minion wave, which made for easy cheese and kills early game. I personally had the most success with it using and

Speaking of Goodbye full flat MR rune page. You allowed me to have almost 40 flat MR at level 1, and it truly made the difference between a lost lane and a won one if I was laning against someone ap whom I struggled to face, such as , , , , , etc. I also LOVED taking you on , and start with so I had almost 100 mr at level 1, making for loads of extra passive damage and an extra 5% damage reduction on W right off the bat.

Goodbye full flat armor rune page. With the extra 35-ish extra armor I'd get at level 1, I would take you on AD laners I struggled against, like , , , , etc. I would also take you on and combined with his recent passive/W changes, if I took this rune page, and maxed W first, I would have 100+ armor in less than 7 minutes as long as I didn't fall behind, it made for so much extra armor early I could easily cripple adc's before they had their items, perfect for this meta. I am also part of the 0.1% of people who only ever plays in the jungle, so yeah.

Goodbye life steal quints. With you, mastieres, and a start, I would have around 10% life steal at level 1, making early cs'ing much easier and making me less reliant on needing a life steal item later on.

Goodbye full flat HP rune page. I would take you on and start with to have nearly 1000 hp level 1, making laning phase have that extra layer of fun pizzazz to it.

Goodbye normal rune pages, you helped n stuff.

And most of all, and I mean it. Goodbye full flat 20% cdr rune page. I LOVED to take you on champs with high cd ults like and , and it was always the most satisfying thing in the world to take you on for not only easier farming early, but getting a first item and getting 45% cdr as quick as possible, making my ult cd and q cd almost nonexistent. You were truly the most useful rune page I ever had. Sadly, you were SO useful I have refrained myself from using you this past month, as I do not want to become so reliant on you that when new runes come I fuck myself in the ass.
