Anybody else getting completely screwed in matchmaking 100% of the time?

Hello. As you can see, I am a level 27 player at the time of this writing, so I am unranked. I am a smurf of around bronze skill level that simply wanted to start fresh, and I am not ashamed of my skill, or lack of it.

However, lately, er, not lately, for a little over a month whenever I play normal draft (which is the only queue I use) I get matched against REALLY high level players. I go on LoLnexus during every loading screen, so I see the rank of whoever I am facing. And my gosh, lately I'm always matched against golds and plats, and occasionally even higher. Most of the time when I play enemy team is almost entirely golds while I'm the only unranked player in the game, however, occasionally, the enemy team will have a singular player of massive elo, Plat or higher mainly, and obviously since I'm unranked and a bronze-ish smurf I get absolutely crushed and stand little chance. last game I played I faced a plat Quinn and she carried so hard, no plat on my team to compensate, game before that faced a Diamond Lucian when I have no diamond on my team, a bit ago I faced A CHALLENGER KARTHUS with no such ranked player on my team. I'm facing golds, plats, diamonds, and freaking challenger when I am level 27 and already suck ass, how is this fair? I wish I was placed against people of my own skill level, bronzes, unranked, and maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe some silver players, but instead as an unranked player I end up facing high elo masterminds.

I wanna know if anybody else is having a similar problem. This has been going on since a couple patches before preseason and I haven't faced a single bronze player, which is bullshit.

I mean I LOVE Riot and I LOVE this game, but now for some reason whenever I play lately the matchmaking is making things literally unfair.

Am I just unlucky? Is there a reason why my matchmaking has been fucked over? I really hope somebody has answers, or at least shares my pain. I want to be able to have fun again, and when I first made this account and midway through leveling everything was fine, its just now things changed for my matchmaking all of a sudden. I wish I could fix this, its been happened so much and its so absurd I'm honestly wondering if its a bug.

Could be because their "soft rest" of mmr. I'm Gold rank so I dont really care who I get matched with but to answer your question it might be from the "soft reset" of mmr. I've been match with anyone from bronze to diamond+ but then again I'm in the middle of them. Also if you continuously win games then your mmr will increase Idk if that's the case though. Also the game tries to gather 10 players with a balance-able mmr ratio the problem is instead of placing one challengor on each team sometimes it places both on the same team.... happens to me in ranked all the time ill have me-(gold) with 4 silvers and the enemy team will have 1 plat and 4 gold.

also your starting mmr on a unranked account is gold.... which it shouldn't be.

Matchmaking has gone downhill over the years with this problem, riot continues to ignore it.

Your starting mmr is around I believe Gold 5. To lower it simply play ranked and lose. I wouldn't lose on purpose although if you were to lose or win it would move from Gold 5 to where you should (where the game thinks) it should be. Imo the starting mmr of an unranked account should not be Gold. Gold is the top 30% of the NA Servers. No new players should be playing in ranked with Gold+ players for a number of reasons.

Add me in game if you want to play at least then you'll have a gold player on your team :)
