Am I delusional? Didn't Riot just get done saying, for 2 patches in a row, that they are aware certain champs hit hardest by DFG removal as core item need compensation? Did they not say Veigar was top on the list? Have I lost my reading comprehension ability? So they remove DFG, making it so the champion can't kill anyone now. Champion is already severely crippled by mana, now with far less kill pressure. So what do they do, now they fucking gut the whole champion entirely. Q is now a skill shot that will be blocked from hitting desired burst target. Lost damage on R. Made the only fun part of Veigar's kit, his E, now suck ballz and be as easy to avoid as Anivia's Q.

Pretty stellar "compensation". Way to double down and go from making the champ flat out bad to utterly worthless. Love the design philosphy lately. Still no new AP item and couldn't fit in necessary buffs to Veigar for 2 patches now but they're happy to yank DFG and introduce ZZ'rot portal as such an IMPORTANT addition to the game. Great use of all those design resources on a fucking troll item. RIP AP's

The total time the cage lasts now is 0.75 seconds less as well. It will disappear 1.5 seconds after casting, and with the 0.75 seconds of warning particles, it makes it very unlikely to have a major effect on the game much more.

I had the same problem with the ahri changes as someone who loved the flash-charm-kill combo. Yet she climbed to a high win rate and then they nerfed her (so I dislike it even more? ).

The q hits 2 targets now. I guess that increases his teamfight presence? They're claiming in early tests it increased his q stacking rate too much that they needed to lower his ult ratio because he hit his late game power spike in the early game with all the extra stacks.

Not a fan of the e change AT ALL though. So they're pretty much saying veigar is only going to be good against low Tier players who'll run in to it anyways. Although at least if he traps them in the cage and they don't take the stun, teammates with knockbacks can push them in to the wall (as a hecarim jungler I love veigar mids, my e knockback pushing them in to his stun after they've already waited 2 seconds in the cage :p).

So maybe he'll just be a more niche pick now. Disappointed nonetheless. I have ahri/LeBlanc as my mid mains and was intending on picking up veigar to counter if one was picked and one banned.
