While yes I'm glad Ardent got nerfed, I feel like with these nerfs, it'll be another item that fades into obscurity.

I wouldn't say gutted. It'll still be relatively the same late, but it certainly won't be rushed anymore, which is good.

I doubt it.

It's still a good item on people that can utilize it. It won't be a rush item anymore, and it won't be bought on Braum and Leona anymore.

But as a third or fourth item on a Janna or a Soraka looking for some AP and a little boost to their heal/shield? Yes. It's still good.

I have actually hated Ardent meta because I'm a frequent Taric player, and I feel shoehorned into an Ardent build because it's so broken.

I long for a return to a time when I can build tanky and take advantage of my armor scalings, mostly ignoring ardent until later (or just ignore it forever, if it's not good for my team comp).

This deserved to be gutted. Even "gutted" it's not unviable. It's just no longer a race to build this first to effectively win lane. No more GP10 Runes and Relic Shield on adc.

Good riddance to the Ardent rush meta.

No they didn't lmao..... on champions that rely on early AP like Karma this item was, is, and will still be amazing. It's good on Karma just for the AP, mana regen, movespeed, CDR, and +heal/shields alone it doesn't even need the passive.

I guess all the janna and soraka mains can go back to building redemption first though.

I would prefer they didn't gut it. It's not good balance when an item or champion is just removed from existence. It's better to leave it balanced. I'd prefer it if they increased the maximum damage it provides to 25 on the PBE. Going from 20-35 to 5-20 is just too harsh, even if Ardent is super strong right now. This is coming from a Top Lane player.

Doubt so, especially to make redemptions active have a noticeable heal, I'm pretty sure it won't shove it into ohm wrecker tier bad since it still has use
