If yasuo can destroy almost everyone in late game ..
then why is his laning phase so good ?
then why is his laning phase so good ?
Yas needs buffs in all phases of the game. He's weak because most players can't use him effectively.
This makes perfect sense if you don't think about it.
Buffs? You mean ones like he can't die because he can't leave the fountain?
Nah. I was thinking more along the lines of triple damage on his 4th Q stack . ;p
Rito also makes q proca deal 25% bonus ad. BALANCE
(Not sure if you're missing the joke.)
If he can dash on an entire wave with just an E, why can't champions like Diana use R to dash to minion without needing a Q for reset? #MobileCreep
Because Diana's R two shots?
Because Diana's R two shots?
Yeah, If fed like any other champion.
No, Diana's QRR will leave any squishy at at least 20% health. Have you ever played Diana? If you dont build MR, she 100-0's you with her combo
Build Yasuo FULL AP and tell me who two shots :)
Can confirm my dad es AP yaso
lol wut? Yasuo doesn't even come close to beating everyone late game. There are a plethora of champs that beat him late game.
But think of the Nami ults :(
[deleted]
that's an awesome simile lmao. i'll have to remember that one.
#giveyasuomanain2017
he gets free stats and free manaless ??
NERF THE SAMURAI MAN
Technically he's a ronin, not a samurai...
Rounin is a master-less samurai.....master-less SAMURAI
But it is an honour to be a samurai, and an insult to be a Ronin. So generally feudal japan ronin were considered just disgraced warriors with no honour.
Thing is most rounin during feudal japan ended up dead quite fast. Rounin ended up more of a term durign the meji era where the swords were banned and the previous samurai where left without a job (and without honor) and end up becoming rouning since being swordsman where all they knew.
Due to Yasuo lore I woudl agree that he woudl be more fit of a rouning during feudal japan since he was framed but still he's training as samurai sin't lost and since he wants to prove his innocence he hasn't lose his honor yet....at least not in his eyes so he still consider himself a samurai
The problem is that even to him he's lost his honor. He's a disgraced, wandering samurai. He's a ronin - his master is dead, which obviously leaves him without one (which is the main marker of a ronin), and he's lost his honor due to the accusation of having been the one to kill his own master after he actually left him to try to fight in a battle, leaving his guard post of his master. The second part is really what does him in: not only did he leave his guard duty, his master died and he was framed for it, so at that point he could've lost his honor for either of those, the framing is just there to make it even worse.
He lost his master and his honor. He is a ronin by pretty much any definition.
I honestly have read Yasuo lore just a couple of times since more champions have the same cliche backstory and wasn't interesting to me to re-read the same story over an over again. I know for a fact that he was designed as a samurai by the designer and ended up as a rounin purely aesthetic so I doubt calling him a samurai woudl be wrong but to avoid arguments lets call him the swift swordsman xD
To quote my brother, who knows much more about Japanese culture and history than myself: "A ronin is a samurai who currently lacks a master for some reason. So yes, Yasuo is a ronin. Also known as a "wandering swordsman." It's usually seen as a less honorable route to take than committing seppuku when one loses their master."
Yasuo's master is dead. Yasuo is masterless, which makes him a ronin. That is literally the definition of a ronin. He's not ronin by aesthetic choice, he is ronin by definition. All ronin are samurai (by training if not by name), but not all samurai are ronin.
Well, actually there is more than one kind of ronin, but most people think of the lordless samurai variety, of which Yasuo is.
I could literally just say pick Rammus, doesn't mean he is still not very strong. A fed Yasuo just does too much too fast to an entire team for a "Fighter". This was not exactly the argument of counter picking.
For what it's worth, he's now considered a skirmisher instead of fighter.
Aatrox has a good laning phase and an amazing late game and he's shit tier.
Do you see why people think it's stupid to list off pros and cons of champions? It can easily make the weakest champions in the game look amazing and the best seem stupid.
But, really, last time I checked Yasuo's early game wasn't good, it was capable. A good Yasuo would be totally fine in the lane while any other would suffer greatly from it because they don't have their items, Windwall is incredibly small and has a massive cooldown and they have no real escapes when being ganked.
A Yasuo's worst nightmare is laning against a fighter type champion or a Fighter type jungler. Dealing with both assures that he's going to have a bad time.
Same reason every other mele carry is good in lane. Cause they absolutely suck if they fall behind
Easy to gank? Like the part he dashes through minions and wall creeps with a simple ward? Heck, even a good Yasuo that actually wards will prevent the gank.

Yes because he has minions leading to his tower. His mobility is good for playing aggressive that's all.
Yasuo has counters in lane, only thing he defeats in lane are mages.
Even then, most mages are skill matcheups, such as Ahri, Ryze, Vel'Koz, and Veigar. They all have ways of shutting down his mobility and dealing massive damage to him
He has counters and he defeats mages, but mages go mid lane >_>
So it's ban Yasuo or don't play a class :[
Good question.
So late game Yasuo (with a slightly tankish build) Can murder:
Most supports Most mages Most adcs excluding vayne/lucian What does he get shit on?
Assassins suich as rengar and kha'zix, and literally every other melee carry.
His laning phase is too good levels 1-3~4, otherwise it's fine.
Shits on leblanc with his stupid windwall late game and most assassins dont do well versus him, akali, katarina, fizz if he misses the shark cus of wind wall
I hate leaning against LeBlanc unless I'm yasuo because of her stupid e and passive damage. Yasuo is just countering bullshit with bullshit.
And I disagree. Akali does really well against yasuo post 6 unless yasuo takes exhaust. Katarina is a skill matchup and so is fizz. I'd like to point out that these assassins should be focusing on outroaming anyways considering their burst is higher with less set up needed
But I'm gold trash what do I know
u gotta remember to q backwards with akali lol
Kassadin shits on him in lane.
Akali shits on him after 6.
Veigar shits on him in lane.
Most mages can bait out his Windwall.
The only time Yasuo has a good lane is when you're too scared to retaliate.

Kassadin shits on him in lane.
I feel like, on paper, Yasuo should destroy Kass in lane. In practice, Kass is a really hard lane for some reason.
I went against this lane (as in I was Yasuo and enemy was Kassadin)
Kassadin has good natural bulk with Flask, Windwall only counters one spell (Q), you can get easy TLD procs with Q and W alone, MR passive and shield counters the E max Yasuo damage but the biggest FU to Yas:
Kass' E. Yasuo spamming will have Kass' E up basically everytime it's off CD. Just so much harass, even the lifesteal mastery barely kept me in lane.
define everyone cause last time i checked tons of champs shit on him.
: did I hear someone say good laning phase and good late game thread?

You're failing to mention her worse-than-average middle game. She doesn't have a good, on-the-fly combat ultimate like many other marksmen, which is when they can win. They're also generally on the same levels of Caitlyn late game.
Basically, her early game is better, but other marksmen have better middle games, and then they both have pretty great late games.
If you win lane, like caitlynn should, you wont have a bad mid game. If you don't want to get into an all-in fight with another marksman who is stronger at level 6, you can just use your ult to poke them into a position where they don't want to fight.
As far as the 21 Riot-classified marksmen, if you exclude urgot and teemo, I would say only
definitely out-scale cait as far as damage in team fighting is concerned. I would add Vayne, but the
on cait can stack up damage on more than one target so idk for sure.

You're right that she her mid game shouldn't be bad if she wins lane. That's the same concept with all other lane bullies; they're expected to win lane in order to keep doing well. If the champions going against them manage to go even, the middle game is where the bullied champions catch up. It's harder to lane against Caitlyn, but you're rewarded by getting a generally stronger ultimate than her underwhelming Ace in the Hole if you manage to hit level six without falling too far behind her. If you manage to stay even, which is entirely possible, then you'll most likely beat her. If you fall behind, then yes, you will not be able to punish Caitlyn's middle game as hard as you would like. She can use Ace in the Hole to poke, but that does take away some of Caitlyn's pressure. She also isn't untouchably safe; while it is harder to punish her because of her range, it isn't impossible. A jungler or a support with crowd control could lock her down and expose her to whatever combat ultimate that the allied marksman has, and she'll likely be pushed up the lane since she's a bully.
You're right about those marksmen, I'd add Sivir too, since she can do incredible damage with bouncing blades. What do you think about Ashe with Runann's Hurricane? She might be better at damaging the enemy team with her Q activated. Vayne is very single target focused while Caitlyn has flexibility in her build. If Caitlyn wasn't building Runann's Hurricane then Vayne's single target damage would be much higher, but with Hurricane on Caitlyn she might do slightly more overall, though she won't be killing targets that quickly (speaking in relative terms). Other marksmen I'd put on relatively close terms with Caitlyn, such as Ezreal, Jhin, Draven, and Lucian.
i stay in bushes when laning cause im an asshole who reads caits passive lol
Maybe you should try this little thing called CC? Try Alistar (TM) or Nautilus. Oh sorry I meant YASUO OP NERF PLZ
That is the reason, if he can play good in his laning phase then his late game phase will be good. Just have the jg camp him. Then get him behind and he would be realy bad, bad enough to just kill him to be fed.

then why is his laning phase so good ?
Cause if he had a terrible laning phase he would never reach late game.
For a late game carry to be useful late game, he needs to be able to survive laning phase.
Pick a juggernaut or ranged toplaner if playing top, or if mid, an assassin or burst mage.
As a juggernaut, his WW is completely useless, and basically causes him to only have one real active spell, his Q. His E is on a long cooldown per target until it's at rank 3+, and his Q is on a pretty short cooldown, so early on try to juke it. Very early on it's incredibly easy to dodge his basic Q since most of the time it's gonna be slow casting, just auto him, and move, that goes for every champion.
As a burst mage, bait out his WW with one of your lower cooldown abilities, say for example,
charm, his WW is on a longer cooldown than her E.
As an assassin, if you're not confident in your burst pre-six, play like a bitch until level 6, and just insta-kill him.
Ranged toplaners like
and
can basically just zone Yasuo forever.
Assassins are absurdly good against Yasuo since he doesn't have the burst at level 6 that they do.
Yasuo's good levels 1/2, and if he doesn't get a lead in those first two levels, then you pretty much have a free lane.
