Just as a speculation, I think it would be pretty awesome (and fun) if they were permanently added. (With some changes to balance them out a bit of course :P)
EDIT: I do NOT mean including the minion upgrades, just the items, with minor tweaks to them to make them fair.

Critmaster Garen1 votesmostly in a bad way. id rather like to see the minions added into the game in a non snowbally way. like unlock the upgrade with gametime, instead of a currency tha is gathered on kills and assists.
to purely make the type of minion you want a strategic choice.
youre being bullied by a ranged top laner? get razorfins and make i more difficult for him to poke you by drawing minion aggro that never resets.
you need more safety against jungle ganks or defend your side of the map? get the vision minions.
pushing power with the cannons and the tank minions.
