You said you wanted to give more identity to champions with these updates and then you forget about Karma? What a joke. I really hope you're not gonna just nerf/buff her. She needs a GU, her kit doesn't show who Karma really is (except her R+E combo IMO but this is debatable).
IxtaliKing8 votesKarma was left out of the Mid Year Mage update because Riot said they wanted to focus on damage focused mages. Which is fair enough, even though I felt a little like that was an excuse to justify leaving her out at the time. There isn't an Enchanter update planned (for this year at least), Riot have stated they want to either work on Vanguards or Divers so it's safe to say we'll be seeing those 2 in the mid season and preseason.
Karma is an orphaned champ, her designer no longer works at Riot so there's nobody currently at Riot who gives a toss about what she was supposed to be. That's why Karma never has any meaningful work done to her and why Riot is always silent when it comes to her. As long as Karma is playable and isn't a balance concern, she's fine in Riot's eyes.
Until Riot realises there's nothing for Karma as a standard Enchanter, they're not going to do anything but nerf or buff her numbers until she's functional enough. Karma isn't Karma anymore, there's NOTHING left of her, nothing at all.

I mean I knew she was helpless but jesus that was hard to read. it's just that she was my first champion when I started playing and I loved everything about her. I would love to play her mid lane instead of bot lane, especially in ranked games. I really hope she'll get the rework she deserves.

So when the Karma community speak up and pretty much unify behind her going back to being a Battle Mage/ Enchanter, they ignore it because everyone else is fine with her. That's how it looks, it's sad.
Karbuncle4 votesShe might be in the upcoming enchanter update,but that's doomed to fail since people that don't know dick about Support are behind it and might not do much in the first place due to recent support item additions.
BUT I wouldn't hold your breath,when they did the Support Scaling update she was left out(but they decided Kayle was support enough to receive scaling). Also,like you said they left her out of the mage update,when it was so mages could have an identity when Karma is the most weirdly roled mage in the game.(poke damage early,shield bot late game)

Riot doesn't care about Karma. Every single bit of work on Karma or done for Karma has been half worked on. VGU? Half worked on and completely ruined her identity. 4 years with no communication or work on her. Then her recent Winter Wonder Skins that is not 1350 worthy and doesn't have a l of the elements in the splash art on the model . . . but Quinn and everybody else can receive updates on their skins. When anything comes to Karma, Riot doesn't communicate, work on her, finish work on er, or listen.

One of the issues with a champion whose entire theme is duality is that that theme in and of itself leads to ambiguity and vagueness (see also: generalist).
To figure out what do with Karma would take an actual team who sits down and tries to understand exactly what they want Karma to do and not to do. Not appropriate for a full class update. She needs a team all to herself.
Not going to happen until everyone else though. Probably late 2018, early 2019.
