The silence was indeed OP, there's no doubt about that. But what if Talon's E interrupted channels, just like Kassadin's Q does now? This has precedent both on Kassadin and Viktor (Ult cancels channels, used to silence momentarily. If it still does, I never notice it.) and could be a nice compromise.
I think the approach is wrong.
To me Talon should be changed into an assassin that wants to stay in the fight a little more. Easiest fix for his is his passive.
Passive - Shadow Step When Talon kills an enemy champion he becomes invisible for 0.5 seconds. The next basic attack he deals to an enemy champion applies his current rank of Cutthroat to the target.
I don't think anyone would disagree that his current passive is very lacking. The change to his E was completely needed. Which everyone also seems to agree on.
This changes gives him an escape and gives him the option to stay in the fight a little easier. If this is not enough it can added that his Rake's CD is cut in half on champion kills as well. But we don't need another Kha'Zix. And if anything this would make him need a nerf of a sort more than another buff. But overall I think it would put him in a good spot.
And I do agree that there's no reason for him to not get the ability to interrupt abilities on his E.

I think its a good idea. It gives people a reason to pick him over Zed.
One of Katarina's solid counters used to be Talon and I'd like that to be the case again.
A compromise would be nice, because a 0.25 second slow is practically non-existent. Waste of a cc/form of utility. At the very least, remove the 0.25 second slow, so that people have less of a reason to bitch about talon's supposed op'ness.
Vayne can kill a tank with a cutlass in like 4 hits. LeBlanc can destroy you in one combo. Ezreal is literally unkillable. But no, you're right, let's take away Talon's silence. Balanced.
I wonder how many up-votes this thread would need to get a red response? Maybe over 100, then again I just saw 2 other threads with like 30 that got responded to.... hmm. Maybe 100-120 can be a realistic goal for this, that way it won't die without the getting anyone's attention. :)
Talon has CRAZY damage once he gets going but unlike every other assassins they don't lose 50% of their damage when they need to escape. Every other assassin can get in, bop a target and get out.
For Talon its more like playing Assassin's Creed but without the Freerunning.

It's a way to give talon back a silence in a healthy way. How? I give talon a meaningful combo system. He has to choose between his silence, and more burst. More info in that thread.
yes i made a board about this a few days ago. and this wont become op b/c it takes a lot of skill to cancel the animations of spells with .5 animation times.
I don't mind where he is right now. I still win lane often, burst people down in less than a second and chunk entire teams with my ult.
High risk and high reward. Yeah, there are much better choices for assassins but those are generally cancerous and I'd rather not step there.

What about a reset on cutthroat when you get a kill or assist? A lot of assassins already have resets and this would give him some more form of team fighting other then instant bursting 1 target and running.
Might as well just give him a .25 second silence.
