Why was critical strike not made to interact like Ashe's passive with all champs? Rathar than RNG?

This. People have been complaining about RNG factor of Crit forever, but with the last 2 ADC metas (ardent censor, now the recent Crit Meta), it has become even a bigger topic, on top of annoying champs like Tryndamere Tryndamere

My question is why has it never been reworked on the same scope of Ashe Ashe's passive, where all her Auto's deal a additional % total of her Crit. Example: If she has 50% crit, all her autos deal 150% of her Attack Damage. RNG problem solved, and Ashe is to this day quite possibly one of the most balanced ADC's out there, with clear strengths and weaknesses... unlike so many others.

Why? Why do we still have this RNG system? Why not make all Crit interact in the same way of her passive and balance it gold and availability wise around said system?

So lets say you have 30% Crititem 3046 , and 100 AD. I personally find it more healthier that sayd champ is going to deal a Flat 130 damage with each auto, both I as the opponent or player know the damage im going to deal and can play around it. In 3 attacks, ill have dealt 90 extra damage, total of 390 damage.

Vs

Wondering if one of those 3 attacks will crit, dealing 100 extra damage. No one can play around this. I as the player dont know if im gonna get lucky. The enemy dosent either, and my victory or defeat suddenly circles around a random number. I could get 2 lucky crits and deal 200 extra damage for a total of 500, or none, and deal only 300.

I dont know man, i personally think the flat % increase to attack would be a much healthier system than wondering on luck.

Well because if crit worked like ashe passive, then there is no difference between crit and normal AD items. It would literally do the same thing, the whole point of Critical chance in all games that have it, is that you have a chance to strike for extra damage, that is what critical means, so if you want it removed, then the whole crit should just be removed. Dont turn crit into something that its not.

I still dont see how this is better, it can be tweaked or played with to be different. Point is not all games are balanced like League, RNG might be fine elsewhere but here, historically, its provided nothing but problems and toxic gameplay. Thats why Dodge was removed.

If your going to support Crit RNG, bring back Dodge RNG and make it work on spells too so it dosent just screw AA champs, have it be the defensive RNG crit to contrast the offensive one.

Well the problem with removing crit is that a lot of champions have to be reworked. I think the easier solution is to make it a PRNG, even though that might already be the case, I am not sure.

It is using pseudo random number generation, i'm lazy to find the source but if you search the old forum some rioters confirmed it.

probably because of the way "critical strike" has worked in games throughout all of history? it's not broken. if it was, it wouldn't be this popular of an affix.

Then why dont we have a Defensive RNG? Why not bring back Dodge but also have it affect spells?

Because Dodge RNG is generally avoided in most games, esspecially competitive, and anyways i dont see the big fuss about this, I mean by the time the crit adc leaves the lane he will have 100% crit anyways, so there is no RNG to deal with anyways.

I've been asking for it for years lol

They gave Ashe that passive to test a different crit system. As it turns out, people don't like that Ashe doesn't have the pop other champions get from critically striking.

They are trying new ways to interact with critical strikes, what with all the new crit strike items, to see if any are a suitable replacement for just doubling the damage.

So whichever crit strike item is bought the most, that will be what crit strikes will probably slowly turn into. If people like the true damage of infinity edge more, then future crit strikes will just deal some true damage. If people like stormrazor more, then crit strikes will give speed. Etc.

This sounds like a good idea tbh.
