You know, I always thought they had the wolf backwards. How cool would it be that when you become sated that's when you get the wolf that sort of stands next to you and attacks along with you every 2 attacks. That'd be how you explain the double on-hit effects, because your pet wolf was actually hitting them.
It'd probably be a pain to do though, and would get weird if a ranged attacker with fast attack speed got it so the wolf would have to run up to where they were attacking really fast. But, eh, it still would have been cool.
I know this kinda sounds dumb, but I think the idea was supposed to be that the wolf was evolving into , ... well, you. It was a spectral purple wolf that got larger and grow multiple heads as you gained stacks, so it was evolving. When you reached Sated it disappeared and on your phantom hit a spectral purple version of you appeared beside you. So if this was the idea, again, I felt it was a lazy attempt. It may have been unreasonable, ... and a little awkward, to have a little purple version of your champion model follow you around and slowly get larger, but I think that would have at least made more sense.
