So after a month of practicing decide to run into my provisionals in ranked and...

1st game I go flawless Malphite top I think 5-0-7 and we just completely smash the other team in what I believe was a plat mmr. 2nd game I get a Ziggs mid that goes 2-15 when I asked to please let me mid, he just took it because he didn't want to support. Oh yeah and they had an Akali jungle who got most of those kills off him.

Here's where the fun really starts. 3rd game I get mid and am wrecking my mid lane Annie vs. Lissandra and Amumu decides to do a dragon at 5 minutes. Liss sees him like 20% health so they all start moving to dragon and she gets a double kill. Immediately after Amumu invades enemy jungle with top and mid MIA and I keep pinging for him to get outta there, he runs the enemy jungler off for a second and then CONTINUES to try to steal red buff. I go to try to give him a way out and we get jumped again, 2 more kills for lissandra. I still end up kicking her ass 1v1 repeatedly mid lane but this guy just trolled the rest of the game and got caught out countless times, bot Lucian went 8-0+++ and it was GG. I forgot why I quit playing ranked. I hate to say it but my god if you WANT to and HAVE to play ranked, but you just aren't good-- then don't take crucial roles. Just play support, sit back and back up your carry and peel. Stop ruining people's provisionals.

i can almost guarantee your first game was not "plat MMR" first games are usually your last mmr rating so for your case silver. then i believe it gets harder and harder till you lose. that is what i've been told but no way would they pin you Vs plat players in your first game if you were silver. Other then that i agree some people shouldn't take a lane because they don't want to support or something when someone clearly mains the lane. Good luck on the rest of your games though.

Pretty sure I was gold 1 last season, thanks for the GL

last i checked it showed you with a silver border on that account. Just saying, you don't have to lie and impress people.

Im not lying, I took over a year and a half off. maybe there was ANOTHER season inbetween the one I was gold 1. I could care less what you think but if I was going to lie about it I'd probably say I was diamond or high plat.

Maybe I'm reading that wrong, but doesn't that mean he was Gold last season?

I think I actually know what happened.

The last ranked game FiddleNTheMiddle played last season was 7/2/2014. I'm guessing at that time he was Gold (which is why lolking says he was Gold last season, as well as saying he had a Gold MMR). However, in any rank above silver your LP decays if you don't play. It's likely he decayed to Silver 1, and that's where he was when the end of season rewards were given out.

You can check his match history yourself. Riot even provides the link if you click on his name.

Looking at na.op.gg for the Malphite game, the other team had champions that are mostly gold right now, but the enemy ADC is currently in Plat.

Point: you both might be right and wrong at the same time. Funny how calling each other trolls and liers doesn't help anything :)

I never declared him a troll i just accused him of a lie. elo decay does not happen for gold anymore as of season 4. so unless he DEMOTED and got silver then he truely was NOT gold since he didn't end gold. which my point stands he was silver last season when it ended. Regardless what he got in pre-season. I do see one of them is NOW platinum but has very recently just achieved the ranking, let alone the majority of the people in his game were low gold high silver. which would make sense even if he got placed silver 1 from last season or gold pre-season. i simply said it isn't "plat MMR" since one mans plat not the majority.

Point: So once again my statement has not been falseified and you misunderstood what i have said. In the end my origanol statement stands it was NOT plat MMR and he was SILVER at the end of the season. Not caring if one of them was plat 5, a majority were not so it isn't plat mmr and he has a silver border so before pre-season he was silver i do not care for the gold after pre-season if he so happened to get gold pre-season.

Oh, no. You called him a lier, he called you a troll. Both sides at fault there.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the change to "gold doesn't decay" part way through the season? I vaugely remember that some people were upset that they had decayed right before the change. I'd suspect it's some time after July 2014.

Gold never decayed as of pre season of season 4. And i never said i didn't say he lied. cause of course he did i called him out on his lie, which still is a lie because my statement is true still

It most definitely did. That's why I made sure to play 1 ranked game every 4 weeks after getting G4 between last July and until around november when they made it so gold didn't decay anymore. Bronze didn't decay during preseason 4. Silver and gold not decaying is still relatively new. You can check the patch notes. Actually, I'll link them for you: http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/V4.17

This is from patch 4.1.7 So VERY EARLY IN THE 4TH SEASON. pretty much one of the FIRST few patches of the 4th season hence making my statement of elo decay wouldn't effect his end of season because at the start or near the start of season 4 silver and gold NO LONGER decayed. thanks for clarifying and proving my statement right even further. And if you saw i said as of pre season, sorry i was a patch or so ahead. it doesn't affect the end of season because early in the season again you no longer decayed

"Ranked Decay Ranked decay no longer applies in Silver and Gold (already doesn't apply in Bronze). Fixed a bug where Bronze players could decay due to inactivity while up for promotion"

Very early? That was patch 17 out of 19. You're thinking of Season 1 and 2 that had like 30-40 patches in a single season. The date of 4.17 was September 25th. The end of the season was November 11th. The start of Season 4 was January 15th.

I have no idea how you thought 4.17 was an "early" patch.

Kãtãrinã1 votes

lol whoops thought it said 4.1.7 not 4.17 In the end my point is still the same, at end of season you don't decay? and i'm pretty sure we r all done with this conversation anyway soo? why are you trying to prove an irrelevant point exactly?

Your games are based off what you last ELO was averaged vs 1200.

So if you had a 2000 ELO before starting ranked, (you were last season plat or diamond), the ELO for your 1st game would be (1200+2000)/2, or 1600 which would match you vs Gold players I believe.

If you've never played ranked before, then your starting ELO is 1200. So, (1200+1200)/2=1200 - you would be matched vs Silver players.

Every game won in the first 5 games is something like 100 boost, and defeats are 50 subtracted. I believe if you've never played ranked before, and you started with 1200, winning all 10 games puts you around Silver 1.
