An idea on banning bot-undetected offenders in LOL

Almost on the daily, you see people complaining about inting (the kind that is on purpose) or trolling. The thing is, for a bot, it is very difficult to see a malphite who ults a teammember in base for the 7th time as trolling. After all, hes trying to win! (?). And they are right to speak up. It is a big issue in the game and Riot Games is no longer the Indie company it once was. It's time to hire a few people to look into undetected behavior.

My (partial) solution to the issue is giving players a once-per-season ticket, that allows them to report obvious toxic behavior that they do not expect a bot to see, or that they just wat certainty of punishment for. Once they use this ticket, the game in question will be downloaded and the player is able to select at least 3 cases of the behavior (as to make sure it wasn't an accident) and up to 10 of them by selecting a timeframe of up to 10 seconds each. The reporter can then also write up to 50 words in a small box (just like the normal report function, but now a human might read it). Afterwards, the report will be placed in a queue together with the reports from all other players and the humans start looking over it. With 2 minutes per case, alot of toxicity could be removed from the game, even if it was just because of fright on a players behalf.

I know this would take quite a few people but it could really help, even if a player would have to wait a long while before getting the 'a player you reported..' messageCaitlyn

I think you should add another 10 or 12 steps to the whole thing just to complicate it even more.

In other words - No, this is not going to work.

EDIT - And oh, you want people to get a ticket that gives CERTAINTY of punishment, eh? Fine. Let's go with your idea. But if the report ends up being false (either intentionally or not), then the person who issued the report gets permanently banned. You want to be judge, jury, and executioner? Then live with the consequences. Might think twice about reporting that dude who actually did just have a bad game.

Agreed. I forgot about that. I agree with the idea of punishing the person who sends out a bad ticket. Whether that means his account will never get a new ticket again, or restrictions of another kind such as a 2-week vacation, although I feel like right to permaban is one step too harsh. One slipup and you go from 2weeks to permabanned though.

Technically it isn’t one slip up, it is a build up over time

This already happens. Accounts that are reported for intentional feeding are flagged by the bot to be punished, or they’re sent for manual review.

The problem is not that trolls aren’t getting punished. The problem is people calling things trolling that are not necessarily trolling.

actually the problem is ppl coming in here, linking the account history of a player who played over 100 games across the last 2 months and has a winrate of under 10% because they play stuff like ghost heal nunu with mobi boots first and nothing else.

yes ppl are stupid and call everything trolling or inting, but nope riot is not doing enough. we have VERY OBVIOUS trolls and inters doing this for HUNDREDS OF GAMES without anyone doing anything.

and YES it is impossible for riot to review all the reports manually but NO that is not my problem as a customer. its THEIR problem and THEY need to fix it not WE as customers.

If those hundreds of games are happening in a week or so, then that’s not Riots fault. The players clogging up the system with false reports are the main source of the backlog.

riot could help out several 10000's of players by just making a video or something going "hey its not trolling if your jungler doesnt sit your lane 24/7 cause you cant do shit" lol

They’ve done lots of this type of thing. People don’t listen.

Seen numerous trolls with 300+ games over the course of a few months, not weeks. They will have something like anivia/tahm kench with a 3% win rate over 192 games and then they'll have a Fiora be their second most played champ at a 92% win rate over 105 games. And you say weeks... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA

If a public toilet is clogged for weeks, whose fault is it?

remember how a bad play book will be continueously read as a bad play book?

My theory is that each champ has it's own play book per player.
