So I just had ANOTHER AFK in my promo series

So I hit my promos again and what happens? My fizz connects then disconnects. then connects and disconnects. So the time I spend climbing into promos, lost by a person with a bad connection, bad computer, or just a troll. I don't know which. I'll never know which. All I know is riot tries everyday to push me into another game by, YEARS LATER, still not fixing this problem. To those who say that the problem is overblown? That may be your experience. It isn't mine. i get an AFK or a leaver every time I hit promos. Every single time. Please someone fix this issue!

I'll go to their house personally and send you a report of the problem. This AFK will not be tolerated.

But really, its a real problem in promo series but there are any number of reasons it occurs. If anything automated were to be put in place people would abuse it to avoid falling in the ladder.

Thats not true at all.

There is a very simple solution. When someone disconnects and is gone for however long, or when someone never connects. Or someone goes afk for however long. Basically if they will be red at the end of the game. THEY lose league points. Everyone else gets loss prevented.

It may be abused you might say? Attach that to anyone they are duo with. Your friend disconnects from a game while youre duo qued with him? You dont get loss prevented. Its not likely to get abused because Ive just met you. I dont know you from a hole in the wall. Im not going to afk, get a loss, lose league points, and leaverbuster because you are in promos. Hell no. I might for a friend who is in silver 1 promos. But if me leaving or afking wont stop him from getting a loss, why would I do it? There would be NO benefit to leaving for someone you know and no benefit for afking for someone who you dont know. Also, prevent that person from receiving skin gifts or champ gifts for X amount of days.

If someone who Ive never met before(because what is the statistical chance of you queing solo and getting in with a friend you know in a ranked game) Almost zero. Whats the chance of someone Ive never met before convincing me to possibly get banned or low priority? Zero. Whats the chance of me believing someone if they say, Please afk so I dont lose. Ill gift you 20 dollars worth of skins after your two week gift ban lifts? ZERO.

People afking or leaving or not connecting has completely ruined my love of the game. I used to play a lot. Happily. Now I dread playing because out of ten games, At least four of them are going to be leavers. So if I win 100% of the games I have a fair shot at, thats still 60%. And thats if I win all of those. If I have a team thats bad but everyone stays, it drops it down more. I shouldnt have to pay the price for someone else's mistake/attitude problem.

And Im not saying take away the LP from the winning team. They were going to win anyways. Give them their LPs. Im also not saying hammer the afk person more then they already will be. The person who is afk already will lose LP and get leaverbuster. Im not trying to screw the afk. Im trying to save the rest of his teammates.

Ideal situation. Guy gets angry and afks. His teammates get loss prevents. Other team gets the normal win. AFK gets the normal leaverbuster and normal loss of LP.

Seriously, this is a game-ruining problem with a very simple solution (if the game detects a leaver, which is can and already DOES for LeaverBuster, that team gets Loss Forgiven) that has been plaguing this fucking game for literally its entire existence. And Riot haven't done anything about it because they don't give a shit as long as people keep buying skins.

I just don't understand it. It's a simple problem with a simple fix. It would be game changing. It would take power away from trolls and protect their innocent players from the guilty. It's such a simple solution WHY WONT RIOT DO ANYTHING?

Thats just a really depressing answer. And it means that theres no point in hoping for change. They change champions. They update skins. They wont fix trolls. Sick of it.

Well, several years ago, they invented the 'Loss Forgiven' button, which they could push whenever their servers were shitting the bed en masse. It would invalidate the losses of all teams who lost during that time period, regardless of whether or not that game was actually impacted by the server issues.

Which tells you EVERYTHING you need to know about Riot's stance, really. As long as THEIR asses are covered, as long as people don't have grounds to complain that it's RIOT'S fault they keep getting robbed of fair games, they don't give a fuck about DCs and ragequits wrecking your games. If it's a DC the problem is the player's internet not their servers; if it's a ragequit the problem is the player, not them. As long as they can't have the blame laid at their feet, they couldn't give a flying fuck about you.

Another day. Another 3 games. Leaver, Ragequitter, and then two guys who have never ranked before flipping out on everyone else. The last game we could have won. The first two. No chance. And at the end of the day Im left wondering why I still play this game.

It's because I cannot convince my friends to come to another game with me. Nor can I convince Riot to fix their broken system. Or even address the issue in the first place.

Another day. A few games of aram. A bots game to learn Nautilus. I try a ranked game. Jinx says 10 minutes in that she needs to leave to learn how to change a tire. Says, Watch this and then runs into the enemy team to die. Then says shes going afk because she got no help bot lane.

And guess what? Im out league points AGAIN. Nothing I can do about it. No recourse for me. He won't be banned. His account won't get disabled. At most he will be back in a few days to troll more. And I wasted more of my time.

Why do I keep playing this game when the guys running it won't do anything about it?
