Attacks While in Bush

So I'm confused about how attacks/abilities are shown while in bush, Mainly to the fact that they're not shown if an enemy is in bush and the other team doesn't have vision. I understand that the devs have decided to make it that way, but then what about AurelionSol ? He is the only champ that I know of that can be seen while in bush even though the enemy team doesn't have vision in the bush.

I'm not sure if it's because it's his passive that shows through the bush and not technically one of his abilities, but should that be any different? It hardly pokes out that much considering that there are Nunu that use their ult in bush and it isn't shown at all for the whole duration unless there is vision in bush, and that goes pretty far out. Or like with Sion using his smash down, he doesn't get revealed even when he uses it.

I'm not angry about any of this, I'm just confused as to why AurelionSol's passive is the only thing that can be seen with no bush vision.

By the same token, why were Illaoi's tentacles changed to be visible in brush when every other champion spawned unit in the game is invisible in the brush? Malz and Yorick minions, Zyra plants, Heimer turrets, Shaco boxes, Azir soldiers even, all invisible in brush, but arbitrarily Illaoi tentacles aren't.

It feels like Riot just has such lacking consistency regarding so many elements.

I don't really think the tentacles fall under the same kind of unit than everything else you mentioned. Though they do act more like wards than a unit, so technically they should still be hidden. But all the other units you mentioned have basic attacks that they execute and are revealed when they attack. But Illaoi's tentacles only attack when given the command off of one of her abilities.

So I still think you're right (that tentacles should be invisible while in brush) but just in a different way. Although, they are completely different from the typical units and wards, so it does make some sense that they don't follow the typical construct of everything else.

I'm not exactly sure the full intention as to why his stars are shown while in bushes but if you are somehow able to fit the stars in the bush they can be hidden. I think they are just coded as their own entity.

Sol's stars are shown outside the bush because they could do some damage without the player knowing. Nunu gets a passive because his ability has to charge up to do it's maximum damage and it has a slow attached so the player would know they are being affected by something.

Think of sol's stars like most abilities: xerath kit, brand Q/W/R, or anything for that matter. The spells are shown when they leave bush. As such, Sol passive is treated as an ability rather than a passive.

Sion Q though.

Sion Q though.

I get that, but Sion's Q has to be charged. It's hard enough to hit as it is. Compare that to Sol stars. They will hit you instantly. Sol only has to do light maneuvering in order to hit you. Basically you are more likely to hit with invisible Sol stars than Sion full Q.

Basically, it's the difference between attacks/abilities that have to be charged and ones that are just consistent damage. Sol's stars are always doing damage regardless if they're making contact with anything. Attacks/abilities that take time to charge aren't visible or noticed until they are released.

Though I still think that champs should be made visible when they use abilities through brush. I'm fine with it not being seen if it's being charged, but once it goes off, the enemy should be visible for a short duration, to punish failures of those plays. If executed right, they get a kill and initiate a push or just get a free kill. But if failed, that way they can't just get off scott free.

prolly cus it's a passive, and everything else u mentioned is an ability i don't agree with this, btw, I posted against this, as ialloi can grab your spirit with an invisible and undodgeable force, and u have no idea wtf happened til ur slowed. It's not supposed to mask things that obviously come out of the bush.

I do agree that attacks/abilities should be seen in brush once executed by an enemy. Especially in Illaoi's case with that ability. Considering that it goes on for awhile and then has a lasting effect afterwards, she should be visible once that ability is executed. Not to mention your spirit would then be in the bush with her after she pulled it, so then wouldn't that spirit cast vision as if it were yourself in the brush?

https://boards.euw.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/bug-reports-eu/QbhqaYra-bug-patch-713-illaoi-test-of-spirit-bush-bug in this case it's shown, but i think because it's at the edge of it and she jumps out to hit it it's 100% reproduceable if you wanna test the visibility of your spirit, and I don't think riot even considers this a bug.
