Is there a detailed description of how the report system and tribunal works?

I'd be interested to know more about since I know it's automated atm.

Basically a duo reported me for reasons I'm not sure of; I muted them shortly after they started being mean to me. But I got a warning anyway and so it got me wondering how the system actually works.

Multiple reports in a match don't mean any more than one, so premades are unable to abuse it by 5x reporting someone (even 9x doesn't mean more than 1).

You get a warning when you've been reported in a high percentage of your games recently. You can play 100 games in a day and get reported 10 times but won't get the message, but if you play 15 games and get reported in 10 of them you will.

I actually can't find the one where Lyte mentioned the percentage of games, but it's out there somewhere. I can't always find my source twice :(

I copied this here from a comment to another person regarding bans, so some of it may be entirely irrelevant in the context of this thread, but there's nice bit of information in them;

Player behavior systems are not just based on reports. Even if a premade of 4 reported you, if the reports are false, you won't receive a penalty. All player behavior systems are backed by the Report System, which tries to validate every single report. If a report is false, the reporter loses "value" in his reports and the relevant player behavior system ignores the reports. If a report is accurate, the reporter gains "value" and his reports become more powerful. The current Reform System analyzes chat logs for negative behaviors, so it goes beyond just looking at false or accurate reports.

DOES PLAYING MORE GAMES MEAN I HAVE MORE CHANCES OF BEING BANNED? The Tribunal takes into account how many games you have played. If you've played thousands of games and get reported a hundred times, you will be less likely to enter the Tribunal than someone who played a hundred games and is reported a hundred times. Keep in mind that if you are extremely toxic in a small number of games over a short period of time, then the Tribunal may issue a suspension against your account. CAN PEOPLE WHO DON'T LIKE ME REPEATEDLY REPORT ME? This is unlikely, but it's possible if you find yourself repeatedly matched into games with them. Players are limited to one report per player per game. Also, consistently making false reports against others diminishes the value of a person's reports and renders them meaningless.

Please bear in mind that constantly reporting Summoners for violations of the code that they did not commit could result in your account being suspended due to the abuse of the reporting system.

ANOTHER SUMMONER TOLD ME HE'S GOING TO REPORT ME FOR NO REASON. WILL THIS FALSE REPORT COUNT AGAINST ME? Like all of our behavior systems, the Behavior Alerts system is built on a complex formula that takes into account the behavior of all summoners, which helps to avoid a message being sent your way for a false report. We also take into consideration toxic players, or those who frequently abuse the reporting system, so even if you get reported by one of these players, fear not, we've got you covered!

However, I don't think there are many unjust bans and chat restrictions, and players are definitely not being chat restricted just because of being reported--the system doesn't work off just reports. Secondly, the Report System validates every report, so if you are a player that false or troll reports often your reports are worth nothing to all player behavior systems. If you are a player that reports accurately, your reports become more valuable. All replacement systems directly assess and review chat logs, and all systems have some form of manual review to ensure a high accuracy.
