Shen rework is bad
I'm going to try to summarize for the people who don't have the patience, or they have a lot of posts to go through (Like Riot Board admins):
Aside from the fact his shield now scales with max HP, New Shen is worse than old Shen. It would be better if you reverted the rework but kept the HP scaling on his shield effect. ALSO HE IS NO LONGER A NINJA, THANKS RIOT.
Sorry in advance, the post may get a bit messy :I
Now if you're still interested, I'm going to pick apart his new kit and compare to his old kit and explain my reasoning behind why old Shen is superior to new Shen. They mentioned in the champion update on Shen Champion Update: Shen) that his gameplay consisted of spamming Q after you taunted because of the short cooldown. Ironically, with the rework that is still all you do, but you have a fraction of your old durability and none of the sustain.
His Old Q: Vorpal Blade: Throw blade at enemy doing magic damage (scales off AP) and marking for a few seconds. Striking marked target heals Shen and his allies for an amount over a few seconds.
This ability actually gives Shen and his teammates good sustain, this is one of the big reasons support Shen used to be really good.
His New Q: Twlight Assault: A floating sword appears the map and is linked to Shen for some obscene ranges. Activating his Q makes the sword fly towards and activating his passive (we'll get there) and empowering next 3 autos doing % of target's max hp. Effect empowered if sword intersects with enemy target.
This ability belongs on a bruiser or a juggernaut, not a tank. It provides no defensive options, only pure offense. It scales off AP which is really strange since according to their update page no one plays AP, so what the heck? Even when get the buff this ability feels clunky as hell, and I feel vulnerable the whole time. His old Q atleast healed me, this does damage, not that much better; It is also a major pain the arse to aim this thing because the sword cannot moved unless you activate it. Also cooldown is too long, I spend so much auto'ing and twiddling my thumbs waiting for cooldowns.

His Old W: Feint: Shield Shen for damage (scales off AP) for few seconds and reduce the cooldown of his passive when struck.
This ability was bad, but if you stacked AP it was kinda OP when you had a low cooldown shield that blocked like 400 points of damage. Yes I've tried AP on him prior to update, and the only reason its not played is because so many assume him a tank, even though he does enough damage as an AP.
His New W: Spirit's Refuge: Creates a "dodge zone" around his floating sword that allows Shen and his allies to dodge attacks while in it.
This is actually really good, great defensive option that has a lot of potential uses. It is kind of spoiled by the fact the zone is tied to the god awful clunky sword mechanic; IT IS NEVER IN THE RIGHT SPOT. Otherwise I'd say this would be good if it appeared around Shen instead.

His E hasn't changed much but it is a downgrade because the old E used to reduce the damage Shen took from taunted targets, and the new does not. Also having it scale with HP seems to make sense, but I'd warn you that the base damage might get severely nerfed because it is already scaling off his health at level 1. Yes prior to change this ability could hit like truck if you got AP items like
and
.

Ult is the same :P. I will say this, why do you bother putting an AP ratio on a skill if you assume that the champion will never stack AP? It seems a bit idiotic.
I'm going talk about his passive now:
The old passive periodically empowered his next melee attack and it scaled off his max health; It was called Ki Strike. I liked this because the animation looked great and it worked with his kit.
The new one is his old feint basically only it scales with max HP now. Its ok I guess, but it is basically
's passive. I'd rather they keep his Ki Strike passive and instead combine his new passive with his new W and say give Shen a shield if he hits an ally with his W immediately.
