"We need to diversify the meta and make it so other stuff than ADC can go bot!"

All well and good, but if ADCs are pushed out of bot, where do they go? Most of the ADCs cannot solo lane, period. The ones that can are vulnerable to ganks to begin with, or ruin team comps mid to late game. Or do you just want the role to die and everyone who plays it can fuck off?

Mages are still primarily played mid, but other (sub)classes are also played mid. They'll still be played bot, but you can play a Marksman OR (Insert whatever subclass could be viable down there)

They aren't saying ADCs shouldn't be bot. They're saying more than just ADCs should be viable there.

Imagine if mages weren't viable mid at all; almost an automatic loss if you take one. Only assassins end up played there. That's bot lane in a nutshell.

Season 2 adc with decent range where sent mid and build as a standard adc. Tristana, Caitlyn, Varsus, Kog, Corki and Exreal can go mid and be built as a standard adc.

Quinn goes top. Vayne goes top. Graves goes jungle. Ezreal can mid. Varus can mid. Cait is so strong she can do whatever the hell she wants to and succeed.

In addition, it's not like it's kicking marksmen from bot lane altogether. It's giving another class a chance at botlane like every other role has multiple classes that are viable.

And don't bring up this "Oh marksmen can't solo lane" bullshit. They can survive perfectly well without a support there to lick their wounds and kiss their ass.

Okay, what about the other marksmen?

They still go bot lane. Nobody thinks ADCs SHOULDN'T be bot lane, they just want other things to be viable as well.

And then get destroyed by double bruiser bot or mage + support or whatever. Sure they can play passive and "survive" that lane and outscale, but that's just a more extreme version of what we have now. ADCs feel weak because their power curve is completely late game oriented, and that same curve makes it impossible for most ADCs to compete with more early game oriented opponents.

Imo, the problem with ADC is that crit is a thing and ADCs are balanced around that (weaker spells, worse base stats and growth, etc). We actually got a glimpse of a critless ADC future with the Arpen builds but Riot didn't like that, despite the fact that it was a lot healthier for the game.

How is something other than ADC being viable bot going to suddenly make it double bruiser bot? There's still only one gold stream in the lane. Two bruisers would not function viably.

Mage+Support would still get crushed because mages are so level dependent and don't have DPS or significant burst early considering the CDs. Also no sustain.

Armor pen builds were not healthier, FYI. It felt better because it was broken.

In what world/game/moba are carries supposed to feel strong early?

oh really? pretty much everyone just wants ADCs to disappear and never be viable because "they have been meta for too long" sorry but try reading the damn threads

I used to run Ashe mid lane and think she's a better pick now with her improved Hawkshot. Another good solo laner is Quinn who can mid, top, or jungle.

People need to not be afraid of trying different picks. Something that seems obvious troll can work out quite well. I have a friend who started to do Sion bot lane with a Teemo support, the latter being a mostly Support Teemo main.

People only play what the pros think are best, what about the rest of us? I always toss on item 3075 against a heavy AD comp as Ashe, especially against a Zed even when he's fed off his ass and have won games because of it.
