"We wanted to lower the early/mid game impact of the jungle"

actually the jungler is literally twice as impactful as it was before the patch. Nothing else matters in the game if your jungler is worse, because if your jungler is worse, instead of just having no map pressure compared to your opponent, you have no map pressure compared to your opponent, AND the enemy jungler is 3-4 levels and an item and a half ahead like the old Feral Flare Udyr days.

Good job Riot "Balance" team.

Hey at least it's not about who has the shittiest Bot lane now amirite? The change we were all looking forward to?

We're so busy whining about how something shouldn't be as it is without coming to agreement of what could be better. So we get this shit.

Well, this is other dev team. Balance team fucks things up that already exist. What you should blame is dev team responsible on updates.

Totally different kinds of people, yet exactly the same brain damage.

I really wanna know where this went so wrong. For most of the seasons we had come champions that served as... As benchmark or something for many roles. Can you lane on top vs Renekton ? No? Fuck off its not viable top then. Can you jungle vs LeeSin ? No? Get fucked then.

Whats so different right now?

LOOL. You are so right. Instead of making the jungle less impactful early, they just made it even more IMPORTANT for jungle control around scuttle.

What a bunch of number crunching nihilists that will leave Riot to another game after they screw up the game I love.

It only sucks at release; I think it's smart to require lanes to pay attention to Jg control, this nerf is exactly what the game needed. It slows the stomp feats and requires attentive lanes instead of begging for a buff. Once the lane mains catch on, scuttle turn in to miniature obj which they should be, particularly since they are around big obj. Now lane scant Afk lane and ping for a Jg, it's an interactive role instead of farm, farm, farm, gank, back, farm, farm, farm.

Not only did they fail: Their core intent was wrong anyways....

*** if they wanted to lower the early/mid jungle impact, and were actually successful, what would happen to all of the early/mid game champions in jungle? would they get compensation buffs to make them viable in a lane? ***

Risen295/19/2018, 3:03:42 PM2 votes

The OP is correct.

Rather than reduce the ability of junglers to influence the lane phase, all this change has done is make it easier for one of the junglers to snowball if he gets an early lead and gank lanes repeatedly uncontested. Because that early lead lets him shut down the enemy jungler so hard that they become a nonfactor for the rest of the lane phase. So now you can actually gank even more because no one's going to stop you.

Level 3 ganks after your first clear still happen. Maybe they are delayed 30 seconds at best, but they will happen. Nothing was accomplished on that front either.

Worst change ever, gj making a role ppl don't wanna pick even less desirable. Even worse, only a few junglers are viable now since the change

All I know is I played a couple games today and got super scared. The Jungle seems to be so volatile right now. If your Jungler isn't ganking at Lv. 2 you lose the game. Game is even more snowball oriented than before. I'll wait for dust to settle before returning to Ranked. I don't know what's going on anymore :(

I say this many times, when a role gets horribly changed or nerfd to this level. You need better players on that position even more so. cause if your team has the worse player, it will feel even worse than it did on the previous patch.

Grokmir5/20/2018, 3:46:41 PM1 votes

They need to make scuttle evolve as the game goes on.

Start it out as old scuttle then with every death it and its rewards get beefed up until it becomes an actual objective. They could even beef up its rewards mid/late if they want to then.

VoraciousX5/18/2018, 11:04:05 PM1 votes

They should have done what I said and made it more jungler vs jungler oriented. Have one of each camp on the map at a time(with a reasonable variation in what spawns where) outside of buffs, or maybe even including buffs, so that the junglers have to fight each other over their camps and won't be bothering us laners until they do so. Sure, increase the gold value in the jungle a little bit to compensate, so that they don't 100% HAVE to fight each other, but if you don't increase the exp then it'll be jungler vs jungler because they won't be at the required level to gank that early. They'll be required to try to counterjungle each other or fight each other over camps.

flibitydoo5/19/2018, 2:39:36 AM1 votes

I don't get why they wanted to nerf jungle to begin with

the main issue was, was that "you hit level 3, gank top once and that one gank is enough to decide top lane forever". (and then the jungler proceeds to camp bot for the remainder of the match) Maybe the issue isn't hitting level 3 and ganking top, maybe the issue is "you die once to that toplane gank and you lose the lane/game because it's that friggin snowbally".

Emerald Fang5/19/2018, 4:19:56 AM1 votes

If you wanted to do that, you should have made jg more farming-based so the opportunity cost of ganking is higher due to the risk of losing xp/a lot of gold. Make junglers choose smart ganks or fall behind.

Ghostcrawler knocks it out of the park again

but like.. it's the only ball

Don't worry, if you pick a team oriented jungler then you'll be fine when your adc gets 7k gold and has the strongest itemization in the game.

LordGeovanni5/19/2018, 5:25:31 PM1 votes

Most junglers only have early- mid game impact sooo.
