Feels like im gambling more than i am playing the game

Go into game, win lane, am fed, 1-2 players decide to constantly get one shot, win lane doesnt matter against a fed enemy team, sob and lose lp. Literally just feels like im playing a slot machine of team mates, the best part is you can tell who will win and lose just by looking at op.gg. Enemy has 2 players with above 70% wr? GG you lose. You have 3 autofilled on your team? GG you lose. You have someone first timing their champion? GG you lose. You have someone new to jungling? You 100% lose! Games a joke, at least in high elo it is. In low elo you can at least stomp your lane hard enough to carry, but stomping like that in diamond+ is near impossible.

This stuff is why I made that one post in the first place (You did reply on it). Like, I can try and play 110%, but if my team isn't, I cant carry all 3 (usually have one other good person on my team). Thats my biggest gripe with D4.

Disembark4/7/2019, 9:50:29 PM10 votes

Uhh didn't you make a post about how you're a coach and that people can carry themselves to the correct elo? "just build more health" 4head.

I have played games, got extremely fed and still lost, I've played games, sucked ass and still won. The game at the moment makes no damn sense, I feel like victory has nothing to do with how I play.

Actually i would say it's the other way around...

In Dia 3 i get pretty even teams. In Plat and below its complete gambling elo hell. I have a Smurf Acc in Gold 1 atm and he is only at 53% winrate because with a team-oriented champion like Voli you are completely dependent on your team and i cant climb properly because the games are so onesided and coinflippy and my team is either autofilled/firsttime/unranked or 70%Smurf/1mio-otp.

I won my last 11 games with Voli in Dia 3/4 in a row but i cant win 3 games in a row in Gold 1.

MMR is just fucked right now and has been since season start.

Laura ß4/7/2019, 6:38:48 PM5 votes

This can easly be fixed but Riot games are too much of pussies to do it, I'm talking about gaining and losing LP according to your performance in game and not just K/D/A but aslo objectives and other stuff that can impact on how much LP you win or lose and also dependent on your role and champ you are playing.

Kind of like the current rating system but can also determine how much LP you win/lose. That way even if you lose but played well you dont lose as much LP as a player who literally played like shit and made you lose, this way games no longer feel like a coin flip or gamble to see who has the least r%%%%%s, trolls, filled players

League of legends after 10 years. Whiteknights downvote me, but the game is slowly dying.

Im gonna be there watching it while laughing [slayer-pantheon-popcorn]

Finally someone said it. The worst part in high elo is that even if you win lose you still lose more. Im more surprised that no body talks about this to people in lower elo, they say diamond+ is heaven but that is a big fat lie with every game you play having a troll inter feeder salty teammates that give up and afks

USAstar4/8/2019, 3:10:05 AM3 votes

So true. In a typical game, I won my lane and noob team lost theirs. And after one team fight they all thought they can 1v3. I dealt all the damage and they just kill steal! They got solo killed in lane 2-4 times! What makes them think they can play recklessly now? I got data for 10 players ranks, their amount of games and win rates on their champions before a match starts. I can already tell which side will win nine out of ten.

Riot answer, recently: "The system is never actually against you. It works to try to match you with and against players so that you have as close as a 50/50 chance of winning every game, including promos."

I wonder if ithis is legally suitable :D

Team oriented game with no sort of true means of enforcing accountability for teammates. Sure if a teammate is super toxic you can report them, but that doesn't help that you lost LP due to that. It doesn't help when your teammate 1st times a champion (somehow that isn't reportable) and feeds 10 times in 8 mins. Much of it really is similar to hearthstone..some luck BS lol.

Go into game

Top laner loses 2 turrets by 15 mins

Yeah, cool.

Morbys4/8/2019, 2:20:02 AM3 votes

The problem is that there are too many broken champs at the moment and damage is way too high, making this like you said a game of chance, not skill. Whoever gets lucky with the first kill usually wins, or whoever has the most OP champs on their team.

Well Cause4/8/2019, 5:57:46 AM3 votes

Totally agreed, the only thing you can do is play meta champs that can solo the enemy team really

Ch1efBeefQueef4/8/2019, 12:57:20 PM3 votes

I see people are finally catching on to this, made a post like this a few months ago and all i got was denial. I suppose this is a new bandwagon or something? Haven't visited the boards in a while.

Ch1efBeefQueef4/8/2019, 1:02:09 PM3 votes

To make matters worse, there seems to have been a trend with people giving up in the last couple years that I have noticed. They spam surrender vote, and literally stop trying to win, playing bad on purpose, but not quite hard enough to get banned for trolling. It completely ruins so many winnable games because of childish impatience and defeatist attitudes.

Was considering picking this game up again the other day, but you reminded me of why I left in the first place. Think ill play kodo tag or something instead.

Yesterday I won a game as toplane Ashe vs Darius and Illaoi. She went like 0/15/1. Why? Either the matchmaking is rigged or the MMR does not work. Because NOBODY can legit end 0/15/1 if the matchmaking would work. She was not even trolling, she attacked me, she responded, she was legit "playing". It was just an utterly bad player that made the enemies lose. As Ashe, I just shred trough their "Normally" fed Jinx like butter as I had like free farm, endless stacks of Dark Harvest and Darius even left the lane in frustration. The enemy lost the game in the lobby.

But why is this a "match"? Where is the reason for that? If you "match" a person into a game with a 0.06 KDA then the MMR is useless or the matchmaking broken/rigged. The problem is that my MMR changes back and forth of such nonsense as well, make the system think I am good so I get stomped in the next 5 games straight. No wonder why the games suck. They literally have nothing, NOTHING, to do with my skill. And no, the more I play, it does not get better - the more I play, the more bullshit game results like this happen and it never stops.

My cousin has 5,000+ games as he plays since 9 years. He is always calm but was raging lately about a loss streak with numbers that made your jaw drop. THOUSANDS of games worth of data to deterimine his skill - and he loses like 3-34 total score etc. After a week, he plays Eve and steamrolls bot-like enemies. Absolute bullshit. That is not normal.

RIOT often claims things like: "But you play 1500MMR vs 1480MMR. THat is close and fun!" But those numbers mean nothing because they have been achieved in games that are broken in the first place. In a real matchmaking, you DO NOT HAVE 0/15/1. Period.

Smurfing is killing this game.

DrippyBrownHole4/8/2019, 1:22:51 PM2 votes

Uh, it is a slot machine of teammates. You're playing a team game and gambling that your 80% random set of teammates is going to perform as well as you and be enough to take out whatever the other team got.

That's how math works.

You don't just take random footballers and throw them into a random group every week to see if they'll play well together. There are consistent teams in team sports and games for a reason.

ValiantKiller4/8/2019, 2:08:54 AM2 votes

Let me guess you are top laner/jungler main like me ? :')

Bishasaurus Flex4/9/2019, 3:33:13 PM1 votes

Happened to me last. Bot lane sup Nasus went 1/12, said nothing all game.

Sęraph4/8/2019, 7:17:38 PM1 votes

Just try to see how many feedback reports you can get while at the same time trying to win games. It makes games a lot less stressful.

Dahaaka4/8/2019, 6:08:08 AM1 votes

And whats ur opinion, how to remove a shit like that? or prevent it

Criamulus8/12/2019, 9:07:56 PM1 votes

This is not just limited to high elo. I play maybe 1 ranked a night on weekdays, three nights in a row my team had an AFKer after 5 minutes. One game went on for 50 odd mins 4v5 until we inevitably lost to backdoors. It feels like a coinflip most games, I play against a good opponent in my midlane, maybe get a kill on him, look at the scoreboard, enemy already has 15 kills at 9 minutes. Mundo charging around with 8 kills and basically unkillable. My LP is being drained away and watching my play for any tiny mistakes or improvements isn't going to help me win the game. (I always critically look at how I can improve, even if my team gets absolutely destroyed - but there are a lot of games in Silver that you simply can't sort out, unless perhaps you're a Diamond skilled player and you're playing Diana..) For me? I'm pretty good, but not good enough to carry against an unstoppable onslaught of fed champions.
