Jungling is hurting for more than just its camp difficulty. Trinkets are a problem too!
So here's the thing: jungling has been hurting longer than since the new jungle. It has been hurting since trinkets came into play. Too much free vision made ganking really hard without good luck or superb coordination. Red trinket lets you clear wards, sure, but if they see a patch of vision go down from the disable they can react, and if you try to clear the ward it reveals you.
My solution: make basic yellow trinket wards visible, four hits to kill. Give them 2 definite upgrade paths (plus one I think could be cool): pink and green (purple maybe). Pink ward is unchanged, and Green would be a sentry ward such as it is now. Purple ward would basically be a super sentry ward which can see into bushes in its radius even if it is not in the bush (but it remains always visible).
This means if you fail to get a gank because you got caught by the FREE yellow trinket, you should be guaranteed to kill it to clear it for upcoming retries. If you want better protection when you are being aggressive, you should have to pay for it! Either with upgrades or the good old fashioned "lets buy wards" way.
