The tribunal is incomplete without champion select chat.

So many games that I have been in have been brought down by bad champion select behavior. You are mad entering the game, and that drags down your team during the game. And the worst part is, the trolls do not get picked out because the tribunal can not see their behavior at all the times that are relevant. Some of them troll champ select and then clam up during the game, and I fear that they squeak by undetected.

Why not add post-game chat too. I've seen some pretty extreme behavior there too.

Should be a report for PMs too, I've had 2 people add me post match only to chew me out...

While Lyte insists that having access to this chat wont change most tribunal outcomes, I want to throw out that without having access to these chats, tribunal is fundamentally incomplete, and I am less interested in participating in tribunal because of it, knowing each time I read a case that I can't see the full picture.

This has been wanted by a lot of people trust me. The main issue is that champ select chat and post-game chat are done in a separate program (AIR client vs. game client) and for whatever reason this makes it very difficult to include without completely rewriting the AIR client. I'm not a computer expert by any means, but this has come up often and this is where the conversation usually leads.

I completely agree, also with the people who have mentioned post-game chat and pm's. There should be no chat where people cannot be held to account for their actions.

From a programmer's perspective, each game should have an ID. If the AIR client chat were logged (currently, I believe it is not) then it could very easily be tagged with the game ID and which team, with all relevant player IDs. This log could be merged with the tribunal data.

All of it is easy. It is work, but it is not hard work for a programmer who knows the respective systems. Its not a technical barrier, is all I'm suggesting.

Its completely unfair to get a cross in promo for dodge.

You don't want to start a losing game because of a troll ruin the game, harassing the whole team and you don't have way to report and you count as lost not because of your skill and the troll wins. Riot is encouraging troll to being not communicating with team, ruining people promo series, troll picks, by letting them doing all these without any punishment, instead they punish the people cooperate, punish those want the win from skill play. Maybe Riot stuff are also those self-centred kids who will do the same real life? GG.

I understand that if riot might be against this because they would have too much of a hassle with not actually going into game (someone dodges) but they could just save a temporary file or something for the chat and then if it goes in game it would be saved. Otherwise if not it would just get deleted on the spot

agree fully

I would agree with this. I've often seen people who act terrible in champ select, cursing at their teammates and such without reason, only for them to then act perfectly fine in game. The only explanation I can come up with is they know they can get anyway with it in champ select, but don't want to risk getting banned by doing it in the game where it can be seen by those viewing the tribunal.

I fully support this
