I wonder why...
Meh just some pondering thoughts about the state of the game this season. Personally I just do not understand what Riot have been trying to do, to me it just seems like they are trying to ruin there game.
In itself this game is amazing, its really fun, has a lot of different mechanics and overall tests your brain and ability to adapt game to game. Which is simply AWSOEME.
But sadly its biggest flaw is the fact that due to the nature of its gameplay it creates a toxic enviroment. We all know that as a whole this community is terrible, like everytime I see a post about how toxicity and flame are going down I just think....yeah I call BS.
The fact of the matter is that this game s by far in its worst state EVER, yes people may not be being negatice in the way we are used to i.e. posting abuse, however there is a really big "I jsut do not care" attitude going on, where you wil be in a game and you get players purposefully throwing the game or not listening to pings just to hack people off because they do not care about winning or if they lose promo, etc.
The funny thing is that this is something that is completely unique to League of Legends. In every other competitive game with a ranking system you dont get this type of attitude, so why is it here?
Well the answer if pretty simple but for some reason Riot just refuse to address it and, to be honest, I just want to know why?
The reason this game has such a horrible experience for players and causes so much stress is because it is trying to do two things at the ame time, and it is doing both of them very badly.
To explain, the concept behind the game is to work as a team to destroy the enemy nexus - on paper this is fine. However the only way to do this is to have every member of your team working together, yeah cooll that is fine I will just chat to them and...oh wait.,,there is no voice chat.
So in a game where we have some very mechanically heavy champions, we have a chat system that requires you to - yup here is the golden bit - TYPE to your team....so basically go afk for a few seconds in order to write your message.
WHAT! Yeah I will just let that sink in. So a game that wants to be team based does not actually have a method of communication build in that synergises with its design......
Yeah there are LOADS of other issues with how this season but for me this is one of the biggest and I feel a fair few of the other issues would go away if this was addressed - well not the horrible balancing or the just horrible idea of DynamicQ - but you know, baby steps.
