Let's Talk About Losing

Losing isn't fun. It can be, but it generally isn't. What makes it frustrating is probably a combination of things, but more than anything it's the difficulty of telling what you need to do to turn the game around. The more you lose, the worse it gets as your opponent's lead continues to grow.

In League, we lose probably around half the time. We also spend a great deal of time just waiting for the game to start. When you think about it, it's probably less than half the time you're having fun. That's a very broad and probably untrue statement, but it's just to make a point. That stuff we want from League, we don't get an awful lot of.

I feel like League would become a better game as a whole if losing was more fun. But I wouldn't presume to know what could actually accomplish that. So I turn to you, **what do you think would make losing more fun? **What could Riot do to improve being on the other side of the fence, in your opinion?

I find the game fun 95% of the time. Basically I have to be stomped and trolled by enemy team to make the game not enjoyable. Personally would like riot to set up a motivational app in game ( think kind of like a health app on your phone or watch). Then before you queue you set your goals such as so much cs by this time, don't die pre 10 minutes, ward this much. Then at the post game it would see if you beat your goals.

Prospective and focus are a strong mental combination.

What makes the game more fun, even when the game is lost, are friendly teammates and enemies. You want the game to be more fun when you lose, be friendly, and someone else will return that kindness back.

I find the thing that makes games un-fun are the players. People giving up, flaming their teammates, AFK farming, etc. are what ruin games for me.

After having played over 1200 games, I don't really care if I win or lose. It's what happens from 0:00 to a nexus explosion that matters much more.

Letting people fight after the nexus goes down for 15 seconds. So you can be satisfied when you kill them

Not getting your IP gain gutted would be nice, that would also solve most complains about wasting time on a game and wanting to surrender, when IP is the same you won't be waisting your time because winning and losing would be an equal waste of time. Same for just playing bot games, why is our IP gain gutted just for trying out a new champion in a simple environment?
