How Often Do You Report?

How often do you report players after the game has ended, for any of the given reasons (negative attitude, unskilled player, etc.)?

I've noticed I report people fairly often, even if it's just a few flames I'll report them for negative attitude/offensive language/verbal abuse. Given the lack of punishment messages, I can't help but think I might report people too often and lose out on being able to report the ones that really matter. How about you, what do you report people for?

ALL. THE FUCKING. TIME.

Not that it matters at all of course, I'm on the OCE server where the Riot staff quite literally do not give a SHIT how badly you act. I have proof. So I'm just wasting my time and effort, but I do it anyway because it's all I can do.

You only get those messages when someone gets banned, I think, and almost no one ever gets banned in this game.

Probably slightly more than every second game.

I report people for:

  • flaming
  • constantly asking for false reports
  • rage quitting
  • going afk
  • trolling (rare)
  • intentional feeding (very rare)
  • intentionally killing an obviously disconnected player and then announcing how proud of it they are (negative attitude)

The reasons i report are simple..

  1. People refusing to group up for team fights
  2. People typing more than playing.
  3. Intentionally feeding
  4. Unintententionally feeding and refusing to play safe.
  5. Harassing hard when there is no reason
  6. Being overly stubborn
  7. Afking and not trying to reconnect

The accessibility and encouragement of spamming that report button in every match by Riot and the community makes the game so much less fun. Instead of playing the game players need to worry about who's going to take their simple request as an insult and go into a rampage and report you at the end of the match. Just goes to show that the largest audience (young teenagers) can't take even mild criticisms. Any request for a player to do something is a ban-worthy offense because Riot doesn't check what was said, the only thing that matters is that you were reported. And then you get handed a penalty. No actual offense necessary, just report who you want and they'll have to deal with the consequences.

I only report for serious harassment issues, ongoing and targeted bullying and death threats/threatening the person's family, etc. Luckily this doesn't happen often. I've reported like 15 times or so since 2014.

Only when its a proper report, I don't blindly report people like some douchebags do.

If someone is legit being toxic, or trying to ruin the game. I report them. But there really isn't a time frame for this. It just happens when it happens. Can't predict it at all.
