You Wonder Why Assassins Can Destroy Tanks

Every armor pen item is a viable core item for AD casters.
Every armor pen item has an affordable and effective build path.
Pen/reduc calculation order makes it effective (albeit not optimal) to stack both flat and % pen.

This makes it incredibly difficult for anyone to itemize against them. The only strong itemization against assassins is Zhonya's, but it has little to do with the armor past laning phase. Assassins should be able to wreck carries without much of a problem, but not tanks at the same time. Personally, I think it's fine for assassins to be able to destroy tanks, but only if their build path sacrifices for it heavily.

I never have problems against assassins as a tank. But maybe that's because I'm not fucking trash tier.

but their build paths do cause them to sacrifice i'm not sure about this, but i think the biggest ad you can recieve from an item that also gives armor pen is 40 ad from a last whisper while most damage items give you 70-80 ad that is a whole 30-40 ad that might not seem much but ad assassins buy at minimum 2 armor pen items and only one of them is last whisper so that means they are sacrificing about 75-95 ad and even then that is just to blow up at best a tank with only 2 armor items but with super tanks like sion who can build 3 armor items and a butt ton of health will require a 3rd armor pen item so in order to blow up real tanks like sion and maokai ad assassins must sacrifice over 110 ad

yeah but even if they would get that 160 more ad but lost all the arpen they would deal much less damage ... probabyl even to squishiesss since armor blocks hard

i think that entire armnor vs arpen interaciton is kinda broken here

if you are a damage dealer and you dont get arpen your damage gets obsolete ... reduced by like 75% or that 50% vs squishies on the other hand if you get arpen and your damage suffers from having less ad you still deal more damage since enemy armor reduces it only by 40% and maybe 20% vs squishies

so in the end arpen is mandatory since champions can easily become almost immune to physical damage and armor reduces your dmg by % meaning the more you deal the more you lose

if we want a healthy arpoen we need to start by probably remaking armor in the first place so arpen wont begood vs squishies
