Okay, serious question here folks.
Hypothetical: Malz Ult is now a single target stun nuke that stuns the target for 2.5 seconds. This would allow it to be countered by Tenacity and Cleanse, however it would also allow Malz to set up with his Ult and drop his other spells before fleeing like the squishy mage he is.
Would this be a nerf?
What do you think?

BrightNooblar2 votesIt sort of removes part of his identity as a counter engage/tank assassin though. Often times as malz you can win the fight by WRFE onto the front line tank and remove the enemies engage/CC then roll in 5v4. This would mean the tanks tenacity drops off nearly half a second of %hp damage and CC, greatly increasing the chance they survive and either heal and engage with your ultimate down, or use their ultimate instantly and turn the fight.
So basically a worse Lissandra. Mmmmmkay...
When did Lissandra get a giant AoE silence? I'm pretty sure I would have noticed something like that.
Lissandra has a giant AoE snare that is harder to miss. While not the same as a silence, it is sometimes actually better depending on who the enemy has.

Otherwise, this would be a heavy buff to Malzahar if the support doesn't get the cleanse item, and otherwise a heavy nerf.
So in higher elos, nerf, lower eloes, buff.

On the plus side, disables no longer stop his Ult and he can use it to peel for himself rather than just locking someone down and praying that his team gets the right idea and focuses the person getting LASERVISIONBLAAAAAARG'd. On the minus side, his Ult could now be removed by Cleanse and reduced by tenacity.
So I figure it would be a net buff if he targets folks who aren't running counter summoner spells or items, nerf if they are. Overall rather neutralish, though.

I'm talking strictly ultimates. Lissandra's is slightly shorter, yes, but she does immediate damage with her ultimate that has a respectable AP ratio. It also does AoE damage and provides a slow field. Plus she can use it on herself for a free Zhonya's. Also Annie provides an AoE stun with simply gigantic damage whenever she uses her tibbers with stun up.

**Nether Grasp: ** Malzahar opens a rift to the Void above his target, summoning forth a writhing nest of frisky tentacles. The tentacles seize the target, dealing damage and knocking them up for 1 second. The tentacles then drop the foe, leaving them stunned for 1.5 seconds.
Not only thematic (and possibly deals bonus damage to Annie), but it would give Malz at least 1 second of unbreakable CC. It could still be Cleansed, sashed, or Tenacity'd, but that would soften the Ult rather than totally countering it.
Marthian1 votesIt would be a buff since he can now just fire and forget. Malzahar's ult should NOT be a super massive CC click targeted ability. If he needs it so desperately to get a kill, then he needs a rework. Even I've gotten kills as Ahri when I missed my Charm.
