Exactly how does Juggernaut Fiora work?

Over in low to mid elo land (G5 in S5, still in placements S6), I usually see full AD Fiora and, while admittedly snowbally in the hands that play her well, I've seen enough of it to say I understand how it works from a macro standpoint.

But then I found out that, apparently, Fiora is more commonly built Tankier the higher up you go. Could someone explain exactly how that works to me? Her ability scalings are almost entirely bonus AD based after all, and her base damage is laughable, so I'm finding it hard to imagine exactly how that build would work.

Not juggernaut. Bruiser or light fighter. Still mostly damage items with one maybe two defensive items.

You get a few AD items (Titanic, BC, etc) before building tanky; it makes your damage fall off, but since you can get it more reliably and are really hard to kill, it works out to more damage over the course of the teamfight. Essentially it trades the straight-up burst of AD Fiora for a more DPS focused build.

Just watch the LCS, they play Fiora nearly every other game, if not every game, cause she's broken as hell, and they build her bruiser every single game.

I mean she deals an insane amount of base true damage, so you don't really need much AD for that, and titanic gives her autos all bonus damage based on her max health, making up for her lack of AD. I mean her Q damage is negligible without hitting those vitals, even with a decent amount of AD, her W again does very little damage and is just a defensive ability so AD means little to nothing for it, and her E utilizes the on hit effects of titanic, meaning with that item and more health your E will do more damage then if you built full AD. Her ult obviously just means loads of true damage, so again AD means little.

Then finally ofc building more health and eventually some resistances means she can stay in fights longer, something full AD melee champs have a hard time doing in the late game or when behind.

So overall it's just better.

Top that off with %health true damage abuse. You'll still deal damage even if it is not huge, even bigger vs tanks and hp champions. That and Fiora is more grand when she can pull off her ult which requires more survival.

Upon her rework launch I got the impression that you only want 2-3 offensive items, kinda always expected her to be like Jax a couple seasons ago (2 offence the rest tank) a little surprised about the full tank build though.
