The dragon changes and nerfing the jungle role were the most toxic things to ever happen to thisgame

You have a role that doesn't feel fun to play, you're pigeon-holed into having to play carry junglers only, unless you are on a 5 man flex team, or you know your duo or your rando team in solo queue won't feed. (which is never a safe bet) so you must play assassins, overpowered bruisers, or volibear.

You are behind everyone in level, except maybe your bot lane. So ganking mid and top is extremely difficult if they're tanky and have ult so that carry jungler you played actually ONLY works if you have a winning lane you can get fed off of or a bad opponent that feeds you and broke their R key. If you don't play the bot side of the map, the enemy gets the dragons,

Dragons are super important now, not getting elder is usually the end of the game entirely. Not getting certain dragons and souls makes it extremely hard to gain and/or keep a lead.

If your bot lane isn't good you aren't going to have dragon prio

If your mid laner isn't good you aren't going to have dragon prio

New rift herald 1st can't even take a tower, but you don't want the enemy to have it,

so then if your top laner isn't good, you don't get the rift

If you play topside EVER and leave your botside to fend for themselves, they get camped like you've never seen before and the enemy gets all the dragons and then your botside tilts harder and the game is instantly lost in silver/plat elo(100%) and sometimes in iron/bronze/gold

So you take the worst changes about the game, i.e making it actually a team game, you force it even harder, the worst players in the game now entirely decide the outcome, and the best player in the game is just swept up with the tide feeling discouraged.

Years go by, the good players are leaving in troves

Look at daily player numbers in articles from 2014, and look at the same articles for 2018 and on, there are 20 million less daily players than there were 5 years ago.

They didn't really nerf the jungle role that bad.

But the extreme focus on early game now, both in general and due to dragons/souls, makes the changes pointless, as you don't have the space to farm consistently unless you're already ahead.

If they slowed the game down at all, the jungle changes, minus every single adjustment to dragons they made, would feel a lot better.

#Riot "reverting" the jungle significantly toward early in League's lifespan didn't work because of how shit the direction of the game is in general.

I actually just made a post about how they can adjust dragons if you want to check it out, so it doesn't feel like "winning team secures all dragons, losing team just slowly fails at everything and can't come back" situations. I do think some xp adjustments are in order. Maybe not as strong as a solo laner, but def not as weak as bot lane. Maybe half level behind solo laners if solid farming speeds.

Jungle is a support for all three lanes. They arent supposed to factor in as one whole champ because of the impact one role has towards the entire map.

Every game the team that is losing has their jungler fall behind the most and he is given all the blame.

Jungle is shit now, I always get auto filled into the role.

I might be the only one but I don't dislike the changes TBH. People now have to actually think and plan ahead so that they can contest objectives. They need to pay more attention to the map and timers. Macro play is more important too... People used to just walk around the map doing nothing, picking fights for nothing without thinking about consequences.

All the points you made were true before the drag changes. If you had garbage bot/mid, you didn't get drag prio...

They had much less competition in 2014 than they did in 2018. Within that period, Fortnite and PUBG were released and one can assume that a fair amount of those players switched to those games because it suited them better (not necessarily because LOL got worse) and that some of the new players went straight for those new popular games (games that weren't available in 2014).

You're pretty much forced to play Elise/WW/Lee/Karthus or you're screwed. That's jungle now.
