**Why does it work? **

Aurelion's base damages are deceptively good. He does not need to stack AP to hurt. The extra speed can help you get off an extra few star hits, or get into a better postion in teamfights. This can be huge because an optimally positioned sol in teamfights can carry almost singlehandedly. You will still melt squishies mid-late game with this item and and .

It fits very well into a final build, and managing to get off just one extra hit of W in the late game can mean the difference of up to 600 damage on a key target. Very strong when you consider the possibilities.
