Katarina ult

Katarina's ult seems a little out of hand at rank 1. Levels 1-5 and 11-18 mostly seem fine, especially since she's the "team-fight assassin," but it seems that rank 1's damage is a little oppressive at that point in the game, and that it's often annoyingly difficult to escape the range before dying. Disrupting her works, obviously, but not every champion has access to things like that.

Playerbase thoughts?

I would be seriously disappointed if a Rioter responded to a bronze level player arguing that Katarina is OP because of her ult. Katarina does need nerfs but her ult is not the problem.

If you have CC, you can just stun her immediately. She isn't moving and its a channel. She doesn't have any CC, so Katarina ulting you, doesn't mean she is necessarily landing anything else like some other champs. Against the players that I've struggled the most with, I'm never allowed to shunpo directly onto them, without blowing flash. So i couldn't really get a good ult on them.

Imo playing against kat requires knowledge about how her shunpo resets works, where the daggers are going to land, and how they can hit you, the range of her passive daggers. You gotta poke her and play around her daggers while never being hit by them.

Flashing out of works too if you can kill her, but you have to keep track of how she's used her daggers, otherwise she could just shunpo away.

I suggest just playing some games of Kat to understand her better. I always do this when I have problems with a certain champion.
