PBE: Early Surrender

4/25 PBE update

Strings referencing an upcoming Early Surrender vote option have been added in today's PBE update. Riot Socrates tweeted out to confirm this featured is in development but will not be released in 6.9: "Just to confirm, we are working on an early surrender to better deal with games that start with an AFK, but it won't be in patch 6.9."

Typing the comment "/remake" in chat will trigger the vote but things don't appear to be fully hooked up yet. From the strings, seems like teams will be able to vote to remake the game if a player never connects to the game after champion select and no players are killed in-game.

"Your team has X seconds to remake the game because a player dc'd and no kills occurred. Vote to end the game by typing /remake in chat.
Only the dc'd player will take a loss. This vote can only occur once."

"To protect high-tier competitive integrity, your remake would count as a loss because the dc'd player is in your premade"

Now if we can only convince enemy teams not to give up a free win.

this won't work, no one on the enemy team in their right mind is going to give up a free win. The vote has to be only for the team with a DC or the enemy
team gets an automatic win while the DC team gets a loss forgiven

The problem I see with this is that if a premade has an AFK on it it's in their best interest to vote no, since there's still a chance of winning rather than taking a free loss. Hopefully Riot sees this and doesn't allow people who are premade with the AFK to vote at all.

This is a very good step, and should help reduce a lot of the frustration from early DCs (though it'll probably be some time until we get the equivalent for disconnects and AFKs at later stages of the game, or a Dota-like "safe to leave" option). I kinda feel this process should be automatic, though, even if it causes the DC and their premade to auto-lose: since the loss of a player negatively impacts the game to the point where it feels like an inevitable loss, it will always be in the (non-premade) team's best interests to annul the match, and giving the DC'd player's premade the option to vote against their other allies creates a conflict of interest, which could therefore induce some frustration in the long run (e.g. individual players feeling bullied into playing "lost cause" games because they were matched alongside a four-member premade that doesn't want to accept the responsibility for their DC).

what if someone in our team rage quits? and they afk in base on purpose and move around to prevent inactivity instead of dc'ing and leave?, or if someone just afks in base because they have to do chores for 20minutes? and within that time a player dies how can u remake? can there be a better punishment to these type of people
