so maokai's passive got nerfed (now enemies have to hit you to decrease the cd instead of just using abilities anywhere near him) his ult now only roots 1-2 people max so its just terrible in actual team fights when everyone is grouped i mean i would rather have a ult that reduce all dmg your team takes by 20% as long as they are close. GA is now useless to anyone that dont build ad and ad champs would still get blown up by ap champs since there is no more mr on that item. some tanks items got nerfed. and only 3 champs got updated, smallest roster update ever. the mage and assassin updates updated more champs and gave more items.

Maokai gets stacks when he uses spells (just like the old Maokai) AND when hit by spells. This makes him want to actually tank hits and in the middle of a skirmish he can get his passive off multiple times easily. Because his ult is no longer a free AOE Damage Reduction zone, the rest of his kit can finally get some viability again. GA went from a cancerous "Free Revive To All Who Buys Me" to a "Free Revive To Who Actually Benefit From My Stats" Tank items got re-balanced to be less HP more resistances, LW got nerfed to compensate for this. Only 3 champions got updated to make it easier to focus on their gameplay instead of having a boat load of failures like the Marksman update and Mage update. The Mage and Assassin updates were failures because they ended up with to much content which ended up starting the downfall of the game since the Marksman update.

The maokai heal is also much bigger, and holy crap I think you are underestimating the power of 2-3 snares at long range.

Also ad champs still have mercurial and edge of night.

Only about 3 champion updates were even any good in the previous updates anyway. They might as well actually focus on the ones they chose and not make a new LeBlanc and Rengar.

i would rather they look at more than 3 champs calling that the roster update. i just wish they would have looked at Skarner since his passive is completely useless outside of the jungle and this is coming from someone who mains skarner. like when was the last time anyone has seen his name pop up in a update. the last time he was buff/nerfed was in season 5.
