Here's the proof that matchmaking needs further work
Well, at this point I'm forced to join the "matchmaking is bullshit" crowd because my last game was hilarious.
Yes, we had a Gold 3 (legit gold 3, not smurfing, 500 ranked games and 50%WR) in a D5/P1 MMR game. Why? I mean, look, he basically did nothing but I can't blame him but the system. When the game started he wrote "wtf why am I against diamonds" and the game was just a stompfest because we were basically 1 player short. Again, not blaming him, it's obvious that a gold 3 player can't play at a high plat/low diamond MMR.
Why is this even a thing? Maybe he was premade with someone, idk, but even if he was, why can a Gold 3 join a P1/D5 mmr game when I myself, as a D5 player, can't queue up with a gold player? Fix your matchmaking because coin flip games aren't fun for anyone. I don't care about damage creep, snowball, LCS or whatever people like to complain about right now, but I do care about matchmaking and games that are winnable and not lost in pre-game lobby.
