Morgana is actually in theory, better against ad teams since they cannot pop the shield as easily. The stronger part of the shield is the cc immunity imo

Doesn't seem to make sense to me... Ad teams just go through the shield, because the shield only blocks magic damage.

Make sure to add the fact that Lulu/Sona/Nami supports don't count.

Sona is quite debatable, but there are much better options than her as THE primary source of magic damage.

These, Morgana, and Karma, while they can't quite do as much as a midlaning AP hypercarry, they still can function in the emergency event that your teammates are all idiots and didn't take an AP champ...

Also, if you got Bot lane and you got landed in one of these messes, you could choose Corki (does lots of magic damage) or Vayne (Does true damage) to ease off that... Or if you are willing to play something less traditional, you could play Cassiopeia.

As a support main, however, I get in situations ALMOST as often as this where the rest of my team has no tank OR AP carry... In these cases, I say YOLO and support as tank Lissandra.

With the amout of armour pen/reduction floating around i dont think it really matters.

Edit yorik does pretty well into all ad comps aswell.

Theres a point where there is no amount of armor pen achievable that can scratch the amount of armor that you can build... Oh you built 40% armor pen with another 70 flat? Ohhh I have 500 armor so..... 200+ armor left? Go ahead, TRY to hurt me...

Because of the way armor scales, the higher the armor, the less that armor pen will do to it. 200 armor is WAAY more resistance than 50 armor, but 500 armor doesn't move the resistance point much higher than at 200.

I play a lot of Wukong JG and that's literally never true. Even if Q was max rank (with constant reapplication) and Black Cleaver stacked additively with it, along with offensive masteries, that still isn't true. Let's say you remove 67% of 500, that's still 165 and it doesn't even work that way so it would probably be well over 200 armor.

I've recently played vs a Malphite jungle as Wukong jungle and not only could he duel me at every point but my team and I could do almost nothing to him he'd even be tanking 5+ turret shots with no detectable change in his HP. I got Q and full Black Cleaver stacks multiple times but he was still retarded tanky and we couldn't deal with him. The Thornmail + Abyssal combo damage output was pretty insane as well.

More importantly, the problem with full AD comps. isn't that you can't shred armor. It's that you don't force them to have multiple types of defense. They can build 2 defensive items to directly counter you while before they'd only be able to build one. For example, they can go Randuin's + Thornmail but before it would have to be Randuin's + Spirit Visage. They basically save several item slots worth of defense without any punishment.

Q at max rank is permanent with max CDR, minus whatever animation time it has. Max is also painfully easy to get on Wukong with 10% in your runes. That being said, if you Q a 500 armor target, 30% reduction, they only have 350 armor. Then if you max stack cleaver ult their team, they only have 245, and that's if the person attacking them who isn't Wukong has no penetration whatsoever. Malphite's base level 18 armor is 91, so that's 154 bonus armor. 45% of that bonus armor is ignored via LW upgrade, so it's only 85 bonus armor. That's 166 armor. Anyone with flat pen is going to build other flat pen, and ignore about 60 of their armor. So, 106. Or "~100" like my guess said. I wasn't arguing that it's good to build a full AD comp, just that with someone like Wukong and a BC, there's probably not much going on for a 500 armor target.

LW applies only to your own damage. It doesn't remove any of their armor like Q or BC. Also, it's not a matter of CD for Q, Wu's not going to usually have the luxury to sit on a target and spam Qs as long as he wants (especially vs a tank). Personally, I don't even build LW on him because my goal isn't to kill tanks and it does nothing for me vs backline targets (plus I'd be squishier).

40% armor pen. Plus another 20% reduction from Black Cleaver. Plus another 7% from masteries. Plus the flat. Never mind Vayne.

So, at 500 armor, you go down to 142 armor. And you're doing no damage because you got nothing but tanking items. And that's not counting passive armor penetration or armor reduction some champions have.

You don't go all tank vs all ad. The point was the it makes the tanks and bruisers on the other team so hard to kill that by late game you can't win team fights when all AD, as the tanks/bruisers just soak up so much of your damage while the enemy bruisers and carries go to town on you.

Someone like Taric is especially good against all AD, as by late game he is basically giving all his nearby allies a free chain vest from his W aura and he will stun you while healing up any damage he and an ally takes while you can't kill him.

It's actually surprisingly difficult to draft a team that doesn't have massive true damage or noticeable magic damage.

Renekton MasterYi Yasuo Jinx Thresh

Take this composition for example. You might look at it and say, hey, awesome, an all physical damage team, just stack armor! But unfortunately for you, they actually deal plenty of magic damage overall. Yasuo and Jinx will both be building shiv, Yi might get devourer (and might even get shiv himself), not to mention the true damage he'll throw in, Thresh does more magic damage than you'd expect, and Renekton does tons of magic damage in a teamfight with his R. Now you can still build 5 armor items, but you're going to HAVE to have at least 1 magic resist item to match their damage types. Which is pretty dumb.

Actually building armor and hp is a pretty sound plan for tanks a bruisers against this comp. The only champs with ap in their actual kits are thresh, who will most likely be building somewhat tanky, and renekton who builds ad/tank. Yasou and Jinx rely on shiv which isn't a significant source of ap damage that would necessitate a dedicated mr item. Building Hp handles it better and more efficiently. Yi has true damage in his kit, but hp stacking is a good counter for true damage and given the amount of useful items that give on average 50 armor and 500 hp. Yi won't have a significantly larger impact late game from his peers.

Its mostly because Talon Zed became obscenely strong due to assassin itemization changes.

remember when people were complaining about Khazix being sort of weak, so they buffed youmuus and gave apen on maw to sort of help him out? Well, now we have item 3147 item 3142 item 3156 for that sweet armor pen and a completely obscene amount of AD. basically making the assassins who were already strong (zed and talon) much stronger and making kha relatively stronger.

I dont now if you are joking or not. One you have two top laners and no mid. If you take out Teemo for a poke mid then you do have a good poke team. Gnar will get very tank if build right and does mostly AD(only his pass on his W mini form does magic).The only damaged item you should get is BC which will help Jinx cut though armor. Soraka can keep the other health up with her heals why Nidalee use her heal for Soraka(I think Could 9 did a team like that not to long ago.)

Who take Teemo into the jungle when you have a Nid!?! Why would Gnar be the ADC when you have a Jinx is in the bot lane? Really the only reason why this team is bad is because who ever playing them is not thinking. Yes troll build are fun some times and can even work but you really should not use if you what to win the game or play in rank.

You never see this? I'm telling you it happens. Sometimes a dodge is the only option. Also I clearly made a mistake on the Gnar, seeing as I have Jinx as bot, & Soraka as supp. You should have been able to understand that, if not then oh well. I just woke up, and we all make mistakes.

Nope. I have never saw Teemo any where but top or bot where he was play for real. I have seen him in mid once but that was a troll game. Once he pick that we all went troll picks and just goofy around not caring if we win or lose.

Well I could not tell it was a mistake. With thing like Graves jg/top ,Kindred and the many ADC that go mid. I thought you where really building Gnar as a ADC even though you had Jinx.

Corki is actually a really good option right now. Or if you think you won't get insta-flamed, Orianna, Viktor, Lulu and Azir work pretty well in duo lane for magic damage. Oh, and Nidalee.
